There's a new show on ABC called "Modern Family" & by chance we watched it the other night. The grandfather (Jay) on the show is played by Ed O'Neill (best known as Al Bundy on "Married...with Children) & he recently married a much younger woman who has a young son (Manny). There was a great scene where Jay & Manny are working on a project together just before Manny's father comes to pick him up to take him to Disney World. Manny is going on & on about how wonderful his father is.
Another blow up last night. We never had that family meeting. I ended up leaving to go to my SIL's house and wathing TV until midnight.
FH and I are better now, we talked about it and he's less stressed when we can talk. On the other hand...SS14 was out of control! It's been two weeks now and the sh** keeps hitting the fan.
I really do care about my SDemon (16), but she obviously wants nothing to do with me---unless it is to benefit her. A little background---I have been disengaging for sometime. I think SDemon is BPD, like her BM, DH thinks it is just learned behaviour.
I was talking to SD14 the other night, and she of course was BORED! Ohh what else is new. Anyway, I asked her, well what do you want to do? She couldn't come up with anything so I said we could write notes back and forth like the good old days. She said "Those were the good old days." (When SD14 was younger and couldn't talk about how she "felt" we would write little notes back and forth and she would tell me) She then disappeared on the internet.
Ladies i read something last night that bothered me....a couple got a divorce and when they asked the lady what finally made the couple split she said it was the BM......Supposedely the BM was a vendictive, jealous, mean , straight up B.....The lady went on to say how the BM has lied repeatedly on her and DH, tried to break them up, brainwashed the child, alleged abuse, manipulated etc etc (you all get the picture)...the lady said she felt like she didtn have an outlet to get things off her chest (steptalk.org is here)...she did admit she took a lot of frustration out on her DH and they arg
Let me throw this question out to the panel:
I was out with some friends last night & we were discussing how there's a big bunch of pregnancies in our circle at the moment, and me & a friend who've never had our own kids were chatting about the society pressure that every woman 'should' be maternal.
Because so many new things get posted, and because it takes me a full day or two to get privacy on the computer to answer questions posted to my blogs...this is a new blog for questions asked about my last entry.
Well, to start off....SD15 moved in with DH & I in August. BM was to give us her stuff so that we wouldn't have to buy SD15 all new things (clothes, personal items, anything of SD15's that she wanted). Well, the only thing BM gave us was SD15's clothes, shoes, a purse or 2, some of her make-up, and a couple of SD15's movies. Well this upset SD15 and she can't understand why BM won't give her her things. Then to top it off, last month BM called and said SD15, I'm going through some of your things that are here and was wondering what you wanted me to do with them.
Okay, where to start. . . well, this week my husband who is a very good father and is making very good attempts to be assertive with his BM has had a terrible run in and it never seems to let up.
