DH is finally starting to grow a set

I was so proud of DH tonight. I get home from picking SD16 up from cheer practice and started to finish making supper. SD16 asked DH if he could take her to tan(because SD16 is not allowed to drive either vehicle by herself until she gets a job). Well, DH had just gotten home from work about 20 minutes prior to me going to pick SD16 up and DH was on his computer(DH plays online war type games to relieve stress, he says killing people in the games makes him feel better after a long, bad day lol).

So pissed and about to explode

I am so pissed off right now, I could explode. On Tuesday, I picked sd16 up from cheer practice and came home to start supper. DH was home from work when we got here. SD16 asks "can I go tan after supper?" DH looks at me and says "what do you think?" I said "I don't care, but she can't take your truck because of the problems you're having with the front end on it. So, she will have to take my van." (Which I just got the van from my parents 2 weeks ago, as a gift. Because my car broke down in Dec when DH was on his way home from dropping sd16 off at the airport.

SD16 FREE FOR 3 DAYS!!!!

I am SD16 free for 3 days!!!! I usually only get a break from having SD16 24/7 twice a year. One week over Christmas break and then 4 weeks over summer. But I get 3 days off from SD16. The high school girls basketball team left today for state competition and since SD16 is a cheerleader, the cheer squad went to. I am so happy to have a break from all of the SD16 drama. It's a nice break to prepare me for Sunday. BS13, SD16, & I leave Sunday to travel 1,007 miles(16 hours driving) back to PA to visit family for a few days while BS13 & SD16 are on Spring Break.

O/T....DH did something truly amazing last night

DH & I have been married for 10 years in June of this year. DH was never able to buy my an engagement ring because of the amount of CS he was paying out. Well, I found this ring at WalMart shortly before Christmas, that I just fell in love with. I showed it to DH and said "ya know, you could put it on lay-a-way and pay a little at a time until it's paid off and give it to me for our 10th anniversary." Well to my surprise, DH did. DH then surprised me again when we got our tax return back in Feb. and paid it off. The ring had to be sent away to be resized.

DH burst SD16's bubble last night, LMAO!

Okay, so prom is April 16th and that is all sd16 talks about. SD16's got the dress & shoes (tho sd didn't get no $300+ dress she thought we should buy), got the hair appointment set up for the 16th, and sd finally picked her date. Well sd16 is cheerleader and hangs out with many different cliques at school and her date isn't in any of them. SD's date wants them to ride with his friends in a limo to prom, but none of his friends have dates. So SD16 would be the only girl. SD said no to that.

Well, SD16 gets the restrictions lifted from her intermediate license on March 21st. SD16 has been on us about getting her a car. Well, with only dh working, we can barely afford to maintain the 2 vehicles we have. So we told sd16, get a job to help pay for gas, insurance, and regular maintenance of a car, then we'll talk about giving you mom's(my car) because my mom is giving me her minivan. SD16 has yet to get a part-time job.

It's been almost a year, but I'm back

It has been almost a year since I have posted or visited this site, but I'm back. A lot has happened over the past year, some good & some bad. I disappeared for a while because DH said that the advice I was getting from some of the people on this site had changed me and not in a good way. So I left for a while, but now I'm back. Because I just can't deal with the daily issues of being a SM without having some place to bitch about what I'm dealing with. I have also recently started seeking professional help from a therapist, because I just can't deal with everything anymore.

To start off...DH, myself, BS12, & SD15 all ended up getting a cold over the weekend. Well SDs glands swelled up and DH suggested taking her to the ER after supper. So we all got done eating supper and SD & I got ready to go to the ER. Right as we were getting ready to walk out the door, BM text messages SD telling her that BMs plane landed in Chicago and she's off to the hotel. BM told SD yesterday that BM had to go to Chicago for training for her work. Well we get to the ER, register her to be seen, and about 5 minutes later they take us back for her to be seen.
