I feel like I may have made a difference in SDs life tonight.....

As some of you know, my SD15 goes to therapy once a week because of SF molesting her. Well, SD has been having some issues with other things in her life as a result of the molestation. Well, last week SDs therapist gave her an assignment to do before she goes back this week. SDs assignment was to search what Healthy Relationships are. This was the first time that SD has mentioned that her therapist gave her an assignment to do before her next appointment. After she had told us about it and I saw that she wasn't completing it.

Need to vent before I blow up on my family

It started yesterday when I received an e-mail from BM asking what DH planned on doing about taxes & SD15 this year and also basically demanding that we take SD15 for a passport so that BM & her parents can take SD15 to the Bahama's. BM also said that she will send us the money for the passport. But DH has custody of SD15 now, not BM. So BM can not just take SD15 out of the country without talking to DH about it and DH giving BM a letter giving BM permission to. Well, I e-mailed BM back with DH's answer.

Depressed & need to vent a little....

I don't understand why the DH & I do this every year. The entire month before Christmas we stress about how we are going to afford to buy our kids presents. Then the entire month after Christmas we stress about how we are going to pay our bills. And this year we didn't even use any money from DH's pay checks to pay for Christmas. DH's parents gave us $300 for Christmas and instead of using it on ourselves, we used it on our kids.

My night having to share a hotel room with BM.....

Well SD15 & I left home around 10am and headed for Indianapolis(about a 9 hour drive). (Just to re-cap Now as you all know from my previous post...SD15, SD12, me, & BM were meeting and going to share a hotel room.) We arrived in Indianapolis @ 8pm. SD15 called BM and said "we'll be @ the hotel in about 10 minutes. Can you come outside so I can put my stuff in your car?" BM "Sure." So we fill the car will gas and head to hotel. We get there and BM was waiting at her car so we could put SD15's stuff in it. Then we head inside.

When is the right time????

I was just talking to DH on the phone (he's @ work) b/c DH felt the need to call and ask me what I thought about the following question.

Question...
Do you think we should tell BS11 before or after Christmas that there is no Santa Claus?

Me,"I'm not sure."

DH,"well I think it is time for him to know that there isn't a Santa. Before the kids at school start making fun of him for still believing there is."

Me,"IDK, my parents never told me there wasn't. I figured it out for myself, but I was younger than BS11 when I did."

OK, I'm totally confused on what to do....

Here's the situation.....BS11 is grounded from the pc through the week, but gets 1/2 hour on Saturdays and Sundays until he brings his grades back up. He was totally grounded from the pc, but has been slowly bringing his grades up, so we have been slowly giving him back some privileges. SD15 is also grounded from the pc until Dec.31st and can not get her drivers permit until Feb. 17th (was able to get it Dec. 17th) because she broke 2 house rules, 1 promise, and lost our trust in her atm.

Dreading Saturday......

As some of you know from my previous post, I have to meet BM Saturday in Indianapolis to drop SD15 off. But I opened my big mouth and offered to split the cost & share a hotel room with BM, SD12, & SD15. Don't mind sharing the room with Skids, but BM. Am I crazy? I must have been when I offered to do it. But I thought that I was being the bigger person by doing it. Now the more I think about it and after receiving an e-mail from BM saying how excited she is for our girls night out......I'm wishing I wouldn't have to do this.
