OT - Women Wednesday
Happy hump day, STalkers! The title says Women, but Men are welcome, too.
Life seems to be chaos with no clear end in sight, so I've been stepping back more from the ugliness to seek peace and beauty.
I stumbled across a quote by Omar Khayyam that was (to me) profound and lovely and wanted to share it with you...

OT - Women Wednesday
Happy Hump Day, STalkers! Sorry this is so late in the day, but I'm trying to not overdo things on the computer screen (and still using JAWS part-time).
The world continues to be a cross between an apocalyptic nightmare and an introvert's dream.
What are you doing to take care of YOU? I have been:

OT - Women Wednesday
It's been quite awhile since I've done one of these. A dear friend called me, overwhelmed and crying, and is the catalyst for this.
What the HELL is wrong with people that they feel the perverse need to tear someone down at a low (quite possibly the lowest) point in her life?? When someone is wounded and vulnerable, there are sick individuals who jumnp right in, say THE worst thing, stick in the knives, and twist with all they've got. Here are a couple examples...

Happy Hump Day, STalkers! Many of us are halfway through the work week and on the downhill slide to the weekend. Woo hoo!!!
Ladies, why do you suffer for fashion? WHY?! What is it about a fashion trend that makes you willing to be uncomfortable, in pain, or even not looking your best? Fashion trends are typically for a SMALL group of people and chances are usually pretty good that YOU are not part of that group.

OT - Women (and Men!) Wednesday
Good morning, STalkers! Are you suffering and SAD? Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that comes and goes with the seasons. For many, it typically starts in late Fall and early Winter.and goes away in Spring or Summer. I'm one of the weird ones - I suffer from SAD in the Summer and come alive in Winter.
Signs and symptoms of SAD may include:

You and Jane are going out for the evening. Jane asks you to help her choose an outfit. She puts on a dress that is pretty, but absolutely HIDEOUS on Jane. “How do I look, Aniki?”
Evil Aniki thinks, “Jane, you look like a stack of tires and that color make you look like you’re about to barf.”

Is size important to you?
Most of us carry a purse. What size do you prefer? A small one that holds only the necessities? Medium, because you need more room? Large, so you can throw in a book? Extra-large because you carry your nice shoes for work? Or are you toting a shoulder suitcase?

OT - Women Wednesday
A wave suddenly comes over me. I feel it: a strange sort of tingle start from my core and flow to my arms and legs. I IMMEDIATELY throw off any unnecessary covers/clothing: lap rug, socks, t-shirt to eliminate the slightest possibility that I will set something on fire.
Yep, I’m having a hot flash.

Are you rocking Summer with a cool pair of sunglasses? If not, you should be!
Protecting the eyes from the sun is just as important as protecting the skin. Most people are aware of the dangers of exposing the skin to too much sunlight, and many of us make an effort to slather on some sunscreen to protect our skin from wrinkles, premature aging, and skin cancer.

I was so busy last night, I did not have time to do any kind of research for women stuff. Sorry!!! So I thought perhaps we could share some of our favorite stuff.
FACE
- Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer (I prefer a lip TINT - not a lipstick kinda gal)
- Rodan & Fields Redefine Eye Cloths (don't stink, don't dry out my skin. I actually cut them in half and use on on my entire face!)
- NYX Pore Filler (NOT greasy, don't need foundation or powder)
HAIR
