Good morning, STalkers! Are you suffering and SAD? Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a type of depression that comes and goes with the seasons. For many, it typically starts in late Fall and early Winter.and goes away in Spring or Summer. I'm one of the weird ones - I suffer from SAD in the Summer and come alive in Winter.

Signs and symptoms of SAD may include:

You and Jane are going out for the evening. Jane asks you to help her choose an outfit. She puts on a dress that is pretty, but absolutely HIDEOUS on Jane. “How do I look, Aniki?”

Evil Aniki thinks, “Jane, you look like a stack of tires and that color make you look like you’re about to barf.” Diablo

A wave suddenly comes over me. I feel it: a strange sort of tingle start from my core and flow to my arms and legs. I IMMEDIATELY throw off any unnecessary covers/clothing: lap rug, socks, t-shirt to eliminate the slightest possibility that I will set something on fire.

Yep, I’m having a hot flash.

Are you rocking Summer with a cool pair of sunglasses? If not, you should be!

Protecting the eyes from the sun is just as important as protecting the skin. Most people are aware of the dangers of exposing the skin to too much sunlight, and many of us make an effort to slather on some sunscreen to protect our skin from wrinkles, premature aging, and skin cancer.

I was so busy last night, I did not have time to do any kind of research for women stuff. Sorry!!! So I thought perhaps we could share some of our favorite stuff.

FACE

  • Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer (I prefer a lip TINT - not a lipstick kinda gal)
  • Rodan & Fields Redefine Eye Cloths (don't stink, don't dry out my skin. I actually cut them in half and use on on my entire face!)
  • NYX Pore Filler (NOT greasy, don't need foundation or powder)

HAIR

Welcome to Wednesday, Stalkers. My apologies for my long absence. Let’s talk about that…

I suffer from both anxiety and depression. To add to that, I’ve also been on a bit of a merry-go-round with my physical health. Mental and physical health are like balancing scales. Did you know that when one is ‘off’ is can affect the other?

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm hard on myself. And by hard, I'm downright MEAN to myself. At some point in my life, I decided that if I'M meaner to me than anyone else, their words won't hurt as much. Instead of talking myself UP, I've been talking myself down. In a way, I'm mentally abusing MYSELF. That is SO jacked up. Who else beats themselves up??

The work week (for lots of people is almost half over, making this Hump Day!!! (Psssst... why do they call it Hump Day when most people get nooky on the weekends?).

Spring means an increase of outdoor activities and increased exposure to sunlight on your hair (your head is closer to the sun - lol!). There are good, bad, and ugly effects of sun on your hair.

GOOD
Vitamin D is good for your hair. Your hair needs it to help prevent hair loss, amongst other things. So soak some up!
