It has come to my attention today, in this moment, StepFolks, that I really have truly reached the ultimate IDGAF-about-SK level. I have been struggling with this for months, ripping my heart out and clawing at my head disgruntled. OMG. It really dawned on me that I just do not GAF!!! It's incredibly difficult for someone like me (like most of us...) to NOT care. But OMG a big weight has lifted off. I really feel quite free and liberated.
I'm expecting Awesomeson, Awesome DIL and DGD Christmas Day! Yay! I have a guest bedroom that was once Chef's ferals room when they were coming to their entitlement sessions, I mean "visitation."
My wife and I have her kids half the time. Unfortunately, we have her kids before and after school bevause we are both teachers and her ex wirks longer hours. They get dropped off at 730 until 8 and they are so annoying. I time it so I eat my breakfast before they arrive and time it so I can go shave when they walk in. They come in super loud (10 and 15). We have 6 cats and they have to do this super annoying cat baby talk. My wife does it too but she isnt so loud and obnoxios about it. I came out at 740 and left at 755. I heard at least 12 yells of "mom," in that time. Her 10 yea
SS13 got in a fight at school. This happened a couple of years ago. Apparently (the principal called) a kid walked up to him in the bus line and hit him, so he hit back and teachers broke it up. Both are suspended for two days. Of course, it's our week, which means he's now home with us all day.
DH confronted him about it and SS got angry and said if someone crosses him or upsets him, he'll always fight back. He's been surly and uncommunicative.
Tonight Demon15 had a virtual counseling appt. She was in her room and I walked past and could clearly hear her talking to her counselor saying "I have like 4 friends, I just don't like them very much and I just use them all for different things. One gives me rides and takes me shopping, another tells me things. I just use them, I'm a user! I don't really like people". What in the actual F is wrong with this girl?? Then in the next breath she told the counselor "we match, you have red on and I have green on.
I just have to say, I can't get over his lie about working this women. He lied and I can't stop hurting. No matter what I tell myself I don't know how . Just venting.
The holiday anxiety surrounding skids is starting to set in. Demon15 came last night and although honestly she has been less demonic than usual and actually pretty normal, I still dread our custody weeks. I have zero interest in these kids being here.
And the stirring has started in steplife world. SD15 has not been over since we saw her briefly on Thanksgiving. Well this weekend coming is her weekend to come so we shall see! I know for sure she will be over on Christmas Eve to collect her gifts ( DH family celebrates Christmas on Christmas Eve) and of course BM has already made plans for SD to grace us with her presence on Christmas Eve .
Since my husband filed for divorce behind my back about a month ago, life has been a nightmare.
There have been some funny mentions of gifts from a step kid lately. What about you? What funny, pathetic, passive-aggressive things have your skids gotten you?
SS one year got me a potholder. Pretty sure that was a year he bragged about a 6-figure salary. At least it appeared new. But most years nothing, which is fine. I can match that energy
