sd is 13, i would like a paternity test. how can i get dh to get one? should i manipulate the kid into wanting one? i think it is unfair to everyone for dh to continue with his secret. bm had a threesome when sd was conceived and bm also had several bar-time sexual partners around the time on conception. sd does not look like dh and dh has very low sperm count.
any advice?

I've been thinking lately about why it is that step-mom's get such a hard time. I sometimes wonder if it's not indicitive of the general disregard our society has for women's work. A step-mom reminds people that the Mother divorced the father of her children (however willingly) and another woman fell in love with that man. Since many parts of our culture still frown on divorce, it's somewhat natural that step-mom approval ratings would be low.

It's been quite some time since I've posted. Things have been insanely busy and hectic. Lately the hubby and I get up at 4 in the morning so he can go into work early and grab some overtime. I have to get up with him so that I will have a chance to eat breakfast and all, because once 6:30 comes I go through a whirlwind of chores, of course.
Yes, DH found a pretty great job back in May~ it is so close that he walks to work, the boss is great, there's lots of perks,he loves the work he does....we couldn't ask for much better on that front.
We just got a fax from our lawyer with BM's response to our draft modification agreement. I WANT TO CRY. I really do. SHe is such a despicable human being. She doesn't agree to alternate weeks during summer, she doesn't agree to any transportation, she wants us to return the children to her on Sundays because we dropped them off late to school twice in the last 4 years...WE CANNOT WIN with this animal. We have a meeting with our lawyer today at 2 and I don't think I can go...it's too much I am so drained and hurt and upset. Thanks for reading to my whinings.
Okay, so I would post on myspace, but I have family on there and the last thing I need is my mother calling.

Sat. was my birthday. I wake up and my DH is already up. The baby is still sleeping, which is scary, and SS8 is making a huge amount of noise in the kitchen doing G*d knows what.
