New to the site but not really new to the stepmom thing been one for about 6yrs. Never felt like I had anyone who understood what I go through as a stepmom and birthmom with my own ex's and DH's exs, then I found this site been reading for days feel as though I know you all. Anyways what made me start looking for help was a new custody battle with one BD and one SS. Plus husband and my BD13 having a hard time getting a long. DH court case will be ugly. BM claims to be sick w/ cancer but only to SS not to us. So we don't know if she's sick or what.
I'm curious about the enforcement of an interim support order that was in effect prior to the divorce and some bills that are just now being discussed. I don't think that any $$ is owed since the bills were incurred in 2006. Am I crazy?
Anybody know about Michigan laws?
I know of at least 3 of us on here who have a child/stepchild with autism.

Hi, everyone...I wrote earlier this week about BM calling a hearing over CS issues, again, and we are out of state and could not make it. I recieved alot of very good advice here on what to do, and was in the middle of communicating with the state of FL. trying to request a telephonic hearing, and to petition the court on the long shot of modifying CS. again, when yesterday, my DH got a notice at work that he is now under an income deduction order for the CS $$ , so now BM. will be sure to get a check every week.
I tried to stick to the "be positive" challenge by caribgirl, but I failed miserably. SD16 started with her holier than thou act and shot her mouth off one too many times, and I lost it. I did not hold anything back this time. I have had enough, enough, enough.....;enough. You know what I mean? I am soooo very tired of dealing with her and her crappy attitude and DHs inability to correct it. It makes me sick. Of course, DH blames me for losing my temper.....yeah well, get over it. DH says I am the "adult" and should not have behaved that way.
*sigh* I'm coming here because I have no place else to go. I'm in SUCH a dark place right now.
It turns out that my DH really cannot change - he is the same irresponsible, deadbeat jerk to me and our unborn child that he has always been to his exes and all the skids.
Britney Spears. A most infamous BM. Recently I read that she has been diagnosed bipolar and that she is so out of sorts that her dad has taken control of her affairs. Kevin Federline (her ex-husband) has temporary sole custody all in the interest of the children.
i'm looking for anyone thats been a step mom for a few years. i'm kinda new to it. about 1 1/2 years. but we only see him in the summer time.
not sure how to handel certian issues that come up. any advice would be great.
also i dont understand all the SD& abbrevations used in this sight. HELP..
This is my first blog entry and I really just need somewhere to vent and I believe this is the perfect place. So BF and I had the kids for few days and yesterday was their last day. BM decided that there was no need for us to drop them off, so she said she would pick them up. Which is fine by me since freaking gas prices are crazy and she lives like about an hour away. She calls BF and tells him that she's outside.
I am unsure how to handle this one....
