Desperate need for empathy...

Lyza's picture

I'm a blog/steptalk newbie, so here goes...I feel like I'm at an AA meeting ("my name is Lyza, and I love my husband to death, but his relationship with his daughter drives me insane"). I have no one to talk to about this, and I'm afraid it is going to mess up my marriage if I don't get some help. I resent my step daughter. Every time she calls my husband, Will, I cringe. The ole jump/how high thing happens ALL the time. I love him so much, and I hate myself for being such a $@%^* (can i use the b-word on this site??). He drops everything for her.

Only A Matter Of Time

Well, the stepdaughter really screwed up last night. She has been with us for a little over a week, after running from her bio mother's house because she didn't like the rules trying to be enforced. Well, she snuck out of the house last night (only 15) and left with her boyfriend (who she is forbidden to be alone in a car with anymore per the bio mom - only the bio mom won't tell my boyfriend why his daughter can't be alone with him). The phone rang a 1:30 a.m.

They like him!

They Like him....They really Like him!!! My bio-kids..his SK's gave him a card for Father's Day and instead of just signing it like they usually do...the 13yr old wrote a wonderful note to him. "You have been my Dad since 2001. You drive me here & there and do so many more things for me more than I can say. Hope you have a great Fathers Day!!" She gave a big hug & Happy Father's Day earlier too!! She was always the one to keep him at arms length. He asked me later if I put her up to it.... Swear to God she did it on her own!!!

Stepson Calls for Father's Day

Sweetie's picture

Well, about 4:30 p.m., SS finally called my husband to wish him a happy Father's Day. I am still perturbed about being overlooked for MD though. But at least my husband got a phone call from stepson. SD is really going off the deep end now and has apparently dumped BF and hard at work pursing the rocker from Denmark. I guess this must go along with her quote that she wants to be a pop star and get her drugs for free. Way to go SD! One for the team!

Worked Up With No Inner Peace

Sweetie's picture

Well, it's Father's Day, and I am dropping a few lines as I am pretty worked up about my SK. One is the face that both are such losers that neither sent a card or called their Dad. The 2nd is that I took a peek at my SD's myspace website and she is brazenly sending photos to initiate a relationship with the 19 yr old rocker in Denmark. It's like, hey, let's be a 'ho! (Boy, she sure follows suit....like biomom) And I am just sick about the whole thing.

Question: How did you know that ex-wife does not like you?

I knew from the start (she never met me yet) that she didn't like me because my husband (boyfriend at that time) asked me if I hit their son (who was 3 yrs old at that time)on the head? I told my husband "What? What are you saying? No I didn't hit him on the head. Where did you get that idea? He said that his ex-wife told him because son told her? I'm thinking why would a 3 yr old say such a thing, is ex-wife making this up? Give me your thoughts on this.

Wish I didn't care

I just saw another ridiculous quote on SD's xanga site, and here it is:
"kids don't need to buy drugs, they can be a pop star and get them for free."
That's her quote of the day.
So glad that she's learned so much at school. Glad to see that our tax dollars are at work in public education. Personally, I think she was sleeping again.
