I was relating my challenges to a friend of mine, who is a BM to 3 (BIG mistake HUGE), and she has sort of alternative ways of mentally dealing with stuff that is hard.

She came up with this gem:

When you think of SD18 Princess Powersulk Do Nada, try to think of her as a goddess...it might shift your attitude and thinking.

ROFFLMAO

So, I did try. All I could come up with was Princess Powersulk Do Nada, goddess of sloth, bringer of passive agressive victimhood.

A weekend feels like I lived a lifetime.

Here is where we are at today:

Friday I told husband that I dont like being the task mistress, it just never works out well for me, because years of not being supported and years of being ignored. Passive agressive ignore the texts stuff. Then I get irritated, react, she plays hurt feelings victim, husband swoops in to comfort her against the meanie, same ole play out.

Sorry no medals for you today aka riot act

So, this is what went down today:

Husband has been insisting I send a list to SD18 Powersulk Do Nada. Plus she needs to help with new puppy-who-pees-allover

I did this this morning (yep after you all told me not to and that I would be the "bad guy" again)

I get a response on this group text that "I am in so much pain, my calfs are giving out and I have a headache so I need a break today".

I just mentioned she can sit on a stool and watch puppy play outside.

Silence.

Puppy Daze and ID-ation aka no gold medal for us...maybe bronzish?

We got a puppy. This is to be Husbands puppy. My Dad jokes "dont let him raise that puppy like he raised his daughters!"

To his credit he is walking in the am and walking in the PM, and hes being gentle with the critter. He has my buy in and my blessings, but that took a while.

Greetings lovely Steptalkers. The summer over here has been quite nice, one day drifting gently into another. The mornings are cloudy and cool, the afternoons sunny and warm. Our little enclave has become a bit more famous for things such as a Monaco Billionaire and a super stud actor, but really nothing much changes. The tourist crowds and those seeking shelter from the interior US heat have decended.

Its with a heavy heavy heart that I write this out. I can only ever write this out here.

This past weekend, our beloved fur baby started vomiting. He was lethargic, but still moving around normally (or so we thought).

Last night (July 2nd) he was bloated and wouldnt get up to greet us with his normal body wriggles and moaning/groaning "helllloooo".

Greetings fellow Steptalkers!

I just thought I would check in to say howdy to the new folks and give an update for the "regulars", Biggrin

This week so far has been really really nice. The weather has been perfect - hovering around mid 70's-low 80's with fresh breezes coming in even 30 miles away from the ocean. Havent had any beach days since last Sunday, but Im planning on at least 2 this week.
