I've only had two overnight visits with DIL and DGD 2.5 and WHAT A DIFFERENCE PROPER PARENTING MAKES!

DGD 2.5 Can speak in clear, concise sentences; by contrast, YSS was still grunting and pointing at age 6!

DGD gets very little screen time other than watching Daniel Tiger and Curious George on car rides.

It All Happens At Once

My father called me this past Tuesday on the way to Buffalo to state that my mom is basically in hospice and is refusing all liquids, food and medication.   I am helping out DIL with DGD2 over in Buffalo.  My parents live in Maine, their choice of early retirement location from upstate NY.

On social media.   YSS (stb 21 and STILL on CS) just bragged that he spent one hour at the gym after his 12 hour shift at work and did a flex pose.

The only thing showing is his man boobs and gut!  The trainer in the foreground  is making a strange face trying to tolerate the whole thing-- or possibly not laugh.

He does look good in orange though since his hair is pumpkin light orange.

I guess it was triggered by getting a safe deposit box at the bank to store my important papers and talk of CS ending. 

I dreamed that Chef had a reunion with his over decade long PASed out now adult skids--all three of them--and he folded like a cheap suit.  He showed up in a king cab pickup with OSS, YSS in the back and SD vying, as usual, to ride shotgun next to Dadddeeeeee.

The sacrifices they make are incredible.   My DS, Awesomeson, will be deploying for 6 months to the Middle East and will be leaving behind his DW and 2 yr old DD.

I will be helping out by babysitting once a week.  Its a 2 hr drive one way so it will be an overnight stay for me.   Which will be a needed rest away from Chef!

Again, I greatly admire the military families!

 

Fourteen Years Ago Today

The last of Chef's three ferals PASed out over a (delicious) homecooked meal.  The culmination of scorched earth, take no prisoners,  guerilla warfare PAS tactics on the part of the Girhippo and Clan.   There was zero backing for co-parenting and parallel parenting was almost impossible due to Chef voluntarily giving the Girhippo all the power.

Finally there was a modicum of peace after 5 years of intense shelling and mortaring of alienation bombs.  At this point YSS (the HousesHitter stb 7) was out of control and had huge behavioral problems due to the 24/7 brainwashing.

So I showed Chef the recent photo of The Animal Torturer (PASed out SD stb 25) with her new BF living it up with Pumpkinhead (PASed out stb 27) with his victim, errrrr, I mean wife living large.   

Side note:  Even though I worked two jobs I don't remember having gone on a real vacation until I was in my mid thirties.

Anyway, Chef came up with "well at least my kids have nice teeth."   Ummm they OUGHT to since the Girhippo slapped then in middle class status braces the second they turned eight.
