Yup, she's trying to drive me insane. (O/T)

So my mother just stopped by my house again. She was banging on my door and shouting at me to open up. She handed me a Tupperware dish full of melon. "Here. I just wanted you to know I don't care if I live or die anymore because of how you treat me. You're the most worthless daughter on earth." She then stumbled off my porch flipping me off.

Apparently you DO need a lawyer

DH went to the courthouse today to get the paperwork to file for Emergency Custody of SD. The lady said he couldn't file for emergency custody without a lawyer. (Short of borrowing money from my mother, we can't afford a lawyer) So, regular custody battle it is apparently. Which will take 3-4 months and we FIRST have to dissolve the guardianship agreement.
*head->wall* Ugh.
I hate bureaucracy and it's red tape.

The current plan is that once the baby is released, GBM and BM will be picking up SD. I don't want to send her back. I really really really don't.
SD only had 2 meltdowns over being away from BM and GBM all weekend. One at dinner time (Chicken noodle soup, but they don't make her eat vegetables or meat so chicken noodle soup is a foreign concept to her) and one when she didn't get her way. She and BD2 have gotten along famously. She has been sweet, loving... she ASKED to hold BD3m and sat nicely to.

CPS just called us. They asked if we had SD. We answered yes and they asked if we were willing to take in SD. Yes. They are investigating BM for child abuse or neglect. The caseworker is coming to investigate our house tomorrow.
I sense a long night...

ETA: Baby was transferred to Major Children's Hospital. Bleeding between scalp and skull. May require surgery. Pray pray pray.

Sad The doctors think she will be okay in the long run. BM is being investigated for endangerment. She gave SD to DH "for a few days".

I'm crying. I just want to go hold that little baby and not let anything happen to it. I want to see to it that BM never gets to see SD again. I want to hug SD and tell her she didn't do anything wrong.

Just got a very distorted voicemail from DH

From what I could understand, BM let SD3 hold her new baby. As in, standing up "Bring me the baby" holding. Not the normal "Sit down and hold your sister".
SD3, being a three year old, dropped the baby. BM called DH freaking out. She's already called an ambulance. She wants him to pick up SD3.

I have no idea what is going on other than that.
