WTF is WRONG with these people???

BMIL just dropped off Nstb2 so she could go to her weight-loss meeting. :jawdrop: We asked if she had cleaned the house? "Oh, no, I'll do that tomorrow." Um... her house is filthy. Like, I won't take my shoes off when I enter because I'm scared I'll catch something filthy. She was pouring bleach on mildew growing up her bathroom wall from the stack of wet towels on the floor. How does she plan to do it all in the morning?? Then DH asked if she had bombed the house yet. "Oh, no, I'm going to do that Thursday." LADY. You have 18 hours until CPS is inspecting your house.

Update on DH losing his job and Nstb2

DH talked to his NEW boss and moved up his start date. He starts next week. So we only will be collecting 1 week of unemployment (Don't freak out about us being money hungry, every cent will be going toward bills and I have the #15/100 most energy efficient home in my area). To explain a few things: Unemployment is federally funded (says so right on the application), companies don't pay for unemployment, and you can fight a company saying they fired you "with cause".

I was in church this morning. DH had just stepped out to change NBD's diaper. He came running back in without her. He'd run into the head of the nursery. She told him that BMIL had come in, asked her to find him and tell him that Nstb2 was on his way to the hospital in an ambulance, turned around and ran out.
We must have made quite a sight, an entire row jumping up and leaving in the middle of the sermon.

DH: We're being punished... but this feels very relaxing.

DH texted BM to ask if he was picking SD up at 9 am as usual tomorrow. She texted back "No."
He was confused. We get her every Sunday from 9 until 5. So he sent back a text that said "Okay, that's fine. Why?"
GBM called him. She told him he needed to "get with the program" and start calling on Wednesday if he wants to visit. Uh huh... He did. He left BM a voicemail.

DH works in a factory at the moment. He was working yesterday and noticed that B (His coworker and BM's brother) and Nstb2's father were both acting "off". They were running all over and even when they were stopped were flinching like they had too much energy. They were also babbling on like idiots. DH asked if they'd done something before work and both said "No man, [Supervisor] gave us some stuff when we got here." DH rolled his eyes and went back to work.

This bugs me for some reason

DH's older brother (BIL) was brought up in conversation today. He died when he was 12 in a car accident involving Aunt2, her son, and BIL. BMIL had visitation with DH and his brother the first weekend every month at that point in time. Aunt2 had taken BIL with her to pick up a tent from a friend's. On her way back, she noticed her blood sugar was very low, so she stopped at a gas station, but it was closed. She was driving to the next gas station when she went into diabetic shock.
