Whatever you do, don't blame the kid!

Three years of nagging my DH and he finally gets in touch with teachers and starts checking grades online since he no longer gets copies of report cards from BM because she quit sharing any info with DH about SS.

Surprise, surprise, surprise - SS's grades are sucking! An "F" in Spanish, a "C" in band (I don't know what you have to do to get a C in band!)

SD's stupid choices

SD15 was texting past her curfew this weekend so we took her phone. While reading through the text messages we discover that she's bragging to a friend about running around a neighborhood sans clothing while she was staying the night with a friend about a week ago. I thought maybe she was just blowing smoke so DH asks her about it and she admits it! To her father! While giggling like its FUNNY!! I thought my DH was going to smack her but he maintained his cool and told her it would be in her best interest to go to her room.

I have minimal contact with BM especially now that the skids are both teenagers, have their own phones and we've gone almost a year without having to appear in family court. SD15 lives with us, SS13 lives with BM and the parenting schedules have been in place long enough for routines to be established, when we do exchange kids, the adults honk and the kids come out. So other than the occasional kid event I rarely have to interact with or even see BM.

I haven't been on here for a while. Things have been busy and fairly good. At least that's what I keep telling myself so that I can maintain what little sanity I have left. Actually things with the skids suck and I'm just buying my time hoping they will not be the kids that boomerang home after they're adults.

DH has primary placement of SD now and BM has yet to come to grips with it. Her new stance apparently is that she refuses to do anything for SD that has to do with her new school in our district. Basically she's decided that since SD chose to go to school here with us then BM isn't going to do anything to help SD if it has to do with her new school.
