We went to court today…they pushed it back two more months…I think it is b/c she didn’t know that my husband had an attorney and she thought that her and her attorney were going to just railroad him…once her attorney found out that my husband had an attorney too, they “needed more time”…Imagine that!

P.S. Lylagaretts surgery is today at 1:00pm Central Standard time...don't forget to pray for her duing this time!

Okay so this was a CLASSIC line!!!

For all who missed the stepfamily banter last night on Desperate Housewives, here is the exchange that had me cracking up!

Stepmom: There are plenty of things I’d like to say to you that I would never say…like “Shut up you frickin’ whack job!”…I’d never say that to you.

Biomom: So you think I’m crazy?

Stempom: No, I think you’re colorful…Colorful in a way that might respond well to medication.

Naming a child beneficiary on a policy over a spouse?

I want to know how many of your are in a situation where the step-child is named beneficiary on the Insurance Policy….we are in court right now…(home away from home it seems in custody/visitation/support issues) and trying to amend some things and our attorney asked if my SD, the 5 year old, is named beneficiary on my husband’s life insurance policy and if we wanted to write that into the plan…well my response was no she is not and no we do not…I guess my question is why would someone do this?

I think that would be a good poll question…how many people in the forum believe that the biomom has more “right” to the child then the biofather (given a situation where there are no instances of abuse or neglect from either side)…it seems that that is what the court believes and I am curious how many of us agree with them…

Okay I hate to do it but I HAVE to go here….LOL…does anyone watch Desperate Housewives? I was just reminded (last night) of the season’s cliff hanger and the character Lanette is going to be in for one heck of a Season…just to catch you up, her husband just found out that he has an 11 year old daughter…the biomom is a COMPLETE NUT JOB!!! And used the “back child support” that she basically extorted from them to put a down payment on a house FIVE MINUTES away…so there is now a step family dynamic on Wysteria Lane!!! I can’t wait….

The information below is a repost of what brought me to this site in the first place…now the time is coming around again for my daughter a’s birthday and I’m feeling all the same feelings that I did when I came looking for help/advice…I never got a reply to the post below so I’m hoping that someone can give me their honest perspective on the issue…also, I’m debating how I want to handle the whole birthday issue being that daughter a’s birthday is coming up in a month....(I’m a planner :O} ) and I want to start to finalize some plans…THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!

We had a great weekend for the most part…We painted the girls room … they did a GREAT job helping out…they used A LOT of paint! We used almost an entire gallon of paint doing one room (not including the ceiling or the trim paint!) b/c they put it on SO THICK so we just had to go behind them and smooth it out…it turned out REALLY CUTE and they were VERY EXCITED!
