These courts are a JOKE!
We watched a show last night about a group of twins called Prussian Blue…long story short…their mom is raising them to be racists and they go around the country performing at neo-Nazi rallies, think that Adolph Hitler was “a great man who had some really good ideas”…their dad has not been in the picture b/c he had some drug problems in 1996 when they divorced… (the girls are about 12-13 years old) I’m not sure how much contact he’s had with them since 96 but he has been cleaned up for many years and didn’t know the extent to which they were involved with hate groups until he saw their first

Hard for me to empathize although I do sympathize with you all!!!
I KNOW that I’m gonna get some serious flack for this…and my intent is not to put any kind of division in the forum b/c I am truly grateful for and appreciate ALL of your perspectives and opinions…they are what get me through the day most days!!! But I’ve been wondering this for a while now (ever since there was a thread a while back about it in which half of the group indicated that this was their situation) and I just have to ask…is there a different dynamic/expectation level when we are talking about marriages that began as adulterous affairs?
NOT A GOOD NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay so maybe I should write a book!!!! If this wasn’t my life I would SWEAR that I was making it up! So Mom B sent a letter in the mail today to my husband talking about how he needs to reimburse her boyfriend for the money that he spent on daughter’s soccer clothes.

Such a BLESSING!
I’m wondering if this is the “calm before the storm”…I have to say that LIFE has been so very WONDERFUL and I’m afraid to get too comfortable in it…that is a part of me but the other part of me…the part that wants to win says… WHY BE AFRAID?!

These are the moments that show us why we hang in there…THE LOVE!!
Eventhough PSYCHO pulled that crap with the cell phone Friday night she could not ruin what turned out to be Absolutely the best weekend!!! I just received my Master’s degree last week…well my husband threw me the BEST surprise congratulatory party ever! There were about 75 friends and family members (more people than we had at our wedding!) there through out the night…he did such a good job!!
She’s raising her to be a little hypochondriac for her own SICK glorification!
A lot of these really hit home! Guess what that PSYCHO did this weekend!?! She sends the 6 year old with a pre-paid mobile phone with her number, her boyfriends number, her mother’s number and her sister’s number programmed in it…well the kids stayed the night with their aunt and cousins (my husband’s sister) b/c the only time they get to see them is when (if) we have them…so anyway my sister-in-law calls me last night saying “I’m very disturbed and I don’t know what to do about this…” and proceeds to tell me about the cell phone (it was the first I’ve heard of it).
Stepfamilies from the kids perspective...
I thik this is the coolest thing...it is a PBS blog site where kids can write about their stepfamily situations...i've yet to see a positive comment...WOW!!! They talk about how they view their step sibs...and even more scary...not liking thier half-sibs (which i HATE that terminology...sibs are sibs to me!) We have to be very mindful of the whole "your-kid/our-kid" thing...check it out if you get a chance!

24 Things Love and Sex Experts Are Dying to Tell You
1. Never underestimate the power of a compliment.
"Every day, tell your partner about one thing they did that you appreciate. Everybody is quick to let their partner know what they didn't do right, and what made you angry. Make sure you balance this with what they do that pleases you. From the small things to the big things, the more you say 'Thank you,' the more of what makes you happy will come your way."
—Jane Greer, Ph.D., couples therapist and author of Gridlock: Finding the Courage to Move On in Love, Work, and Life

HUGE Mother-Daughter dilemma
Okay this is not a step mom issue but I REALLY need some advice…here is the situation…my mother had a daughter when I was in Junior High (not with my dad) this guy is a complete IDIOT and was from the jump…he never held down a job and only recently began to work regularly (in all the years I’ve known him I’ve never known him to hold a job for an entire year and I’ve only know him to have 3 jobs in the last 14 years!!!) When my mom would go to work I would have to take my sister with me to slumber parties (I was 14 at the time and my sister was like 7-10 months old) because her father who wa
