Court

Nise's picture

We went to court today…they pushed it back two more months…I think it is b/c she didn’t know that my husband had an attorney and she thought that her and her attorney were going to just railroad him…once her attorney found out that my husband had an attorney too, they “needed more time”…Imagine that!

P.S. Lylagaretts surgery is today at 1:00pm Central Standard time...don't forget to pray for her duing this time!

Nise,
Why are you going to court?

She tried to get more CS and when the order came back her monthly amount was reduced by $65…so she appealed…in the meantime, my husband is trying to get more parental rights and parenting time. Same crap, different toilet…..She had such a bad attitude she didn’t acknowledge either of us when we walked into the waiting room (I parked the car while he ran in b/c we were running late)…and just sat there all screw faced….I’m sure she was thinking “what is she doing here” but I wanted to go support my husband even if that meant sitting out in the lobby and reading a book (which I was all prepared to do)…her new husband didn’t show, my husband said he didn’t expect him to be there b/c he doesn’t think he cares enough about her to be supportive…plus…felons rarely like to go to court proceedings voluntarily!

Make a GREAT Day!

Keep your chin up...there are some bm's that really don't put their childrens best interest in mind. We have experienced that all too much with ss's bm.

Try not to lose any sleep over this fighting..it is really important to not get caught up in the negativity. That negativity will consume you, and truly make you miserable (I'm speaking from experience on this one). Just remember, just as you are eager to support your dh by being there, you also need to re-enegize yourself. These court hearings are really draining, all the emotional drama, and the let down, it is a real roller coaster ride. Make sure you take the time to take care of yourself and do something nice for you! It will help you continue to being supportive of your dh, and when you have to face the bm, you will have less anxiety.

The courts are going to give him the standard treatment of most fathers, so possibly every other weekend, maybe one over night stay during the week, split summers and holidays, and vacations. I know he would love to have more...but the courts just apparently don't like fathers...or only value them enough for a cs order. I just remember feeling like the world was against us, and they just wanted his money...never mind what else he had to offer as a father...
