YSS Following in the Footsteps of His Older Siblings Academically
YSS is in sixth grade this year. And just like his older siblings, he's getting Fs in Math, Ds in Science, C- in Language Arts, C in Global Studies
He gets As in gym and chorus--all factored in with the same weight.
Here are some of the teacher's comments:
-not completing journal entries
-needs to improve understanding of vocabulary words in context
-needs to spend more time reviewing
-inconsistent effort has affected grades
Christmas is Co-ming; the Skids are Getting Fat. . .
Please put a xanax in ol' Step Mom's Bag.
So those of you who have skids who have not PASed out yet, what to get for the holidays?
This item seems to have a lot of potential:

Have a skid who is pissing and shitting on purpose at your house? Amp up the smell and let DH get a whiff.
Or in the reverse. . . want to keep skids out of YOUR bathroom? Sounds ideal.

GUILTY DAD OVERBOARD!!!
I'm going to Florida this weekend with Chef.
Here's to wishing for free liquor and high seas!!
Perhaps I can appeal to his machismo by suggesting that wearing a life jacket is for wussies (spelled with a "p")

Skid-dom Infiltrates EVERYTHING--Funny Story
I was at the thrift store the other day (one of my many FRUGAL hobbies) and I saw a couple of Thanksgiving Day figurines. I LOVE Thanksgiving and I LOVE Easter--holidays forbidden to me when I was a child.
A boy and girl pilgrim. . .so I picked them up to purchase. As I was walking along the aisles it DAWNED on me that the boy figurine had RED HAIR and the girl figurine had BLONDE hair!!!
An immediate feeling of REVULSION washed over me. Both OSS and YSS have red hair--and SD has BLONDE hair.

"Yeah My Kid's an Axe Murderer and Grade School Dropout but YOUR Kid ONLY got a 2399 on His S.A.T."
And other apples to oranges comparisons (otherwise known as Ye Olde Double Standard)
This past weekend, Chef tried to compare 26 year old bioson's move out from his old girlfriend's house (almost four years ago) and shift from full time contract work up north to moving in with us for a couple of months before he went into the Air Force
-with-
HIS son's barely passing High School, heavy pot smoking, working part time on a food truck after he had the "summer off" and moving in with his highly permissive uncle.
Do Your Skids View Any Criticism as "Judgement?" (RANT)
OSS (just turned 18) has an unrelenting theme on his FB page. "Don't point fingers at me" "Don't judge me" "You're not perfect either"
I figure it comes from the fact they were raised with no boundaries and no one telling them "no" or "don't do that." They were told that everything they do is "speshul" and they should be accepted no matter WHAT they do.
No one can give ANYONE any constructive criticism these days as everyone's skin is thinner than a micron.
Blog Hog Alert: OSS is now 18 and Hasn't Yet Entered His Career Choice of Rock Stardom
But he IS working part-time on a food truck making smoothies.
CP BMs Signing Skids Up For Every.Activity.Under.The.Sun (TM)
This is somewhat of a spin off to "you're killing me DH"
But I forgot #5
I still believe that signing skids up for all sorts of activities on dad's time serves several purposes for the BM:
1. Skid can't bond or spend one on one time with dad when he/she is out kicking a soccer ball
2. Skid can't experience "real life" when racing to activities; shifts focus from normal family life with dad and SM to skid.
3. BM can "control from afar" by controlling skid on dad's time
StepDad BigBucks Calls SD (stb 16) on Driver's Law Violation--Check out SD's reaction and MORE!
SD posted that she and four teenage friends piled into a car to go to a pizza joint; the driver of the car had a "junior license" and was under the age of 18.
Stepdad posted: I only posted this as a reminder that NYS law says no more than three teens can be in a car at the same time. One teen driver, one teen related to the driver, and one unrelated to the driver.
SD posts back: Cause people totally follow this law.
Stepdad: The law is the law. If you don't follow it you are committing a crime.
NO "likes" from the BM, no defense of Stepdad WHAT-SO-EVER
Legal Eagles Alert! How Would You Word This
Chef is now on board with changing the mediation agreement since I explained to him how much it would cost AND he's come to the realization that he wouldn't be able to move out without me "putting him up." I'm actually doing this for ME since less money in his pocket is less money in my pocket and more money for the BM.
