OT: Is anyone near this shooting?
Is anyone near where this happened? I've heard about so many tragic deaths recently & don't understand why.
A man jumped from a bridge over the interstate into rush-hour traffic here yesterday morning just up from where I work. He was hit by 4 cars.
It's so depressing & sad.

OT: Why education is soooo important
I've been watching Craigslist for a second vehicle. DH & I are sharing one vehicle & have been for a couple of years now. It's limited his job opportunities, & now we're looking at the possibilities another vehicle could offer as far as trying to get SS motivated to get out of BM's house & on his own.
So, I'm searching the cars/trucks in our area & I'm blown away by the listings that are posted like this:

I envy the patience of SAHM's
I'm sitting here at my desk, as I do every M-F from 8-5, enjoying Steptalk & Facebook while taking & making personal phone calls.
I'm thankful for a job where I can pretty much just sit back & relax & do what I want to do. It gets me out of the house & gives me an opportunity to be in the company of other adults. On top of that, I get to bring home a paycheck.

OT: Question about Asperger's Syndrome
I've only ever heard of it. I've never personally known anyone with it.
I got an email from my sister yesterday. This is what it said:

"Dad, she's wearing my dress..!"
Parental Alienation is ugly. We've been fighting it since 2004 & just spent our 2nd Sunday in a row with DH's kids. The last time we had them both was Christmas, & the last time before that was Father's Day, 2007...only by order of the judge.
We celebrated MIL's 72nd birthday Sunday. Much to our surprise, both SS & SD were eager & excited to come.

OT: Anyone have experience making stepping stones?
One of our dogs passed on Memorial Day. I had high-hopes that we'd be in a home of our own before anything happened to our sweet babies. Unfortunately, our beloved Wiley had to be laid to rest under the grapevines in a rental.
I decided I want to make a stepping stone that we can take with us, God willing we ever get to move into our own home. I plan to make a stone for each of our babies to put in a memorial flowerbed whenever we get there.

I can't seem to just not care
SS has shown no interest in visiting since his graduation. I'm beyond frustrated & I'm pissed. Suddenly DH is back out of the picture. It seems all ill has been mended in BM's home & life is dreamy...as long as DH isn't included in their lives.
BM filed for court again to get an increase in CS. I'm halfway praying DH gets laid off again before then. We've managed to make it on his unemployment & I'd rather suffer with a smaller income than pay that bitch anymore fucking money.

Something I just happened upon by way of FB
I came across this blog via a parental alienation page I "like" on FB.
She is a BM & a SM. Her blogs are painfully honest & her writing-style is awesome! She & her husband are targeted parents in alienation. She shares a lot of great quotes & stories that really offer a lot of opportunity for self-reflection.
She also has a FB page called "The Next Wives Club".

Father's Day Flop
So the kids were supposed to come spend a few hours with us at DH's mom's house yesterday. His mom has been having trouble with her legs & doesn't walk well. Even with her cane, she's fallen twice in the last month. This last fall left her with bruises up & down her left side & a knot on her head. Our plan was to pick up the kids, pick up a couple of buckets of KFC & just spend a couple of hours at MIL & stepdad's house.

BM is painfully predictable
So, less than a week following DH putting BM in her place...
DH picked me up Wednesday evening after work & we were on our way home. He got a text on his phone. He looked at it & kind of pulled it back so he could see it better & finally handed it to me & said, "What the fuck is this crazy bitch sending me???"
