My hobby is primitive crafting. With it, I do do a LOT of sewing.

I've never shopped for a sewing machine. My mom gave me one 17 years ago that is still limping along, but the foot peddle has started getting hot when I use it for longer periods of time.

I've been looking for a replacement, but they all feel cheap in comparison to the one I have. Mine would break my foot & the floor under it if I dropped it, but I feel confident I could put it right back on the table & it'd sew like a champ.

BM sent DH 3 Valentine text messages yesterday.

You know the little "forward" things? The subject line in the the first one was just the "FW" thing. It was a glimmery heart over the ocean that said "Forever".

The second subject line said, "From me to you DH". It was a cupid with a heart arrow.

And the subject line in the last one was,"to you dh from me bm". It was a red glittery heart.

DH & BM went back to court (again) earlier in the month. The paperwork states that the new order is effective Feb 1.

Does that mean that the payment he owes ON Feb 1st (today) is for the new amount, or does that mean that the payment he will make to COVER Feb 1st (his payment next week) will be for the new amount?

I started this as a reply on CurlySue's post about how many kids you say you have, but my comment ended up going beyond that.

When asked, I either say, "I have 2 stepkids" or "DH has 2 kids". I don't have any bios, so there aren't kids to split.

I've only ever been faced with a challenge with it once. A cashier said something about "my" son. It felt weird & for a second I tried to decide whether it was worth the time to correct her. I ended up not needing to decide, as SS8 (at the time) made it clear that I am NOT his mother.
