SD13 ran away, BM is filing for emergency custody.

What a damn mess. SD and BM have been cooking this up for a long time. SD has been purposely not doing her school work and getting bad grades. BM has been threatening for months that SD is going to run away.

So she did. Monday morning after H and I left for work. BM assisted of course but we can't prove. BM refused to release SD to H and we had to get a Writ of Assistance from the judge so the police could retrieve her and bring her to us.

Update on cell phone and SD13

Let me tell you.....H shocked the h**l out of me. He wasn't going to give her the cell back and he was mulling over what to do about it. We threw out putting controls on the phone for the time being.

SD13 apparently sent H an email (probably counselor's suggestion)asking if she could go to a concert in April. He's thinking he will use the concert as the carrot with the cell. She can only call her mom, him or me. No friend's or texting or she forfeits the concert.

Follow through with punishments........

SD13 will be spending spring break with her BM. She had her cell phone taken away because of a really bad report card (failing grades because she wasn't turning in her work, duh....turn it in and get good grades). When H called the BM last night to confirm whether she will be driving into the city (she currently lives 1.5 hours away for some dumb reason) or do we meet her at the half-way point, she asked that SD get her cell phone back for the week because she doesn't have a landline and will be at work some of the days.
