A Reprieve

DH and I got a reprieve from the steps this past weekend. For those of you who don't know, we get them EOWe, which directly correlates with how often DH and I get into an argument. We were supposed to get them Friday but BM informed us that SD9 had a sleepover and that SD11 and SD4 wanted to spend the weekend with her parents.

I understand that sometimes, especially where girls are involved, lice happens. Especially when they are in school and around such an infestation. HOWEVER...I do find it terribly troublesome when the only child who has it (SD4stb5) is the one who does nothing but stay home with a nanny all day. (Oh, you didn't know about the nanny? I must have failed to disclose that in my attempt to not bad-mouth the Ex.

DH and I found out last week that we are expecting our first baby together! We are so excited and can't wait to raise this child together our way rather than tolerating and fixing everything BM has done to the SD's when they visit. Being that it is my first baby, needless to say I am eager to start planning the nursery, read all the baby books, and basically do nothing but talk babies. Which is probably pretty normal.

Do you ever have one of those weekends where you feel you are at your breaking point? I’ve already had a few and I haven’t even been married that long. During one of the many times this weekend that I retreated to my bedroom, I took a break from watching Teen Mom on Netflix to think about the last few times I was this frustrated and upset and figured it out. It happens whenever DH phones it in. It, of course, being parenting.

Need some advice on neglectful BM

This is my first blog post here, but I had to vent. I have another standalone blog that is mostly a humor site, but this is so embarassing I dont want to post this there.

A little background: I have been with my DH for 4 years, married 2 months. He has 3 children from a previous marriage, SD10, SD9 and SD4 and we have them EOWe. My problem is of course the BM.
