My DH said it was different for women or is it him? Letting go...

Yesterday as we talked about the freaking CS ending, the crap we have been through over the last 13 yrs, etc...I told my DH that a part of me actually felt bad that his relationship had turned out so bad with his daughter, but on the other hand, I also got tired of OUR family suffering not only because of BM, but because of the lies and crap from loser. He said, you know what? I get that to a certain extent and maybe it is because you are a woman, but really, I don't feel bad at all. I know I did everything I could.

OT-anyone watch PRINCESS? I watched this weekend and thought of many here

Have you heard of this show? I had never heard of it. It was rather funny. It reminded me of a bunch of idiots that live close to me...sigh...Anyway, it also reminded me of a bunch of stepkids here...maybe you can call this show or have your DH watch it...it might make them realize what idiots they are being when they spoil these "adult kids".

It is truly shocking how some of them act even after many years of their parents being divorced. My sister was divorced just 2 years ago, she has since dated a guy, which actually, none of us like...but her kids have been amazing. None of the three, ages 14, 17, 20 have complained to her or anyone else in the family about her new boyfriend, etc...when we see the kids, not once have they mentioned if their dad is seeing someone or not...I assume they do the same the other way around.

OT-maybe DH gets why I don't care about his daughter because he also doesn't like the same type of people...lol

For years DH thought I was horrible for not liking how his daughter was behaving or how she was being raised. He also complained about me and his family. Sunday we had a nice get-together with his co-workers who are SO MUCH LIKE ME and SO LITTLE like his daughter and the rest of his loser family. My DH had a great time, some of our nice neighbors even commented on how nice our friends/co-workers were, as they are not snobby but in comparison to many here, know how to behave, are just classy people.

Freaking school always giving us the run around!

So, we know that for months the loser has not attended school. For months she has been truant. We believe that someone at the school is covering up for loser so that her father doesn't get all the details. After months of waiting for paperwork from the school stating she had been kicked out, as they claim that is the reason DH no longer has access to school records, all we get are papers from the JP truancy court stating she took some BS truancy court and has been ordered to get a GED.

OT-MIL diagnosed with liver cancer? hmmm ahhh

Lovely, my DH just called me shaken that his mother called him to tell him that she has been diagnosed with liver cancer. Interesting thing is, that when our son was born, she claimed she had liver problems and has always made that "her issue" for people to run to her. Amazingly enough, the week my son was born, as she caused HELL in my house, my mother took her to the hospital, etc. and the dr's there stated "there was nothing wrong with her liver". Fast forward and here we are.

10 Things to Consider Before Enrolling Your Kids in Activities

I found this article rather interesting...especially #1...

1. Expenses. Can you afford to do it? Big one here, if you can't afford it, there's your answer.

Since we all know how custodial parents just LOVE to enroll kids in whatever they want and then say you are a deadbeat if you don't pay for it or don't have your 1/2. Guess what? If you don't have the full amount, then that means you count on HIS income for 1/2, then you MUST check to see if you can BOTH afford it...if not, then that's your answer.
