I found these three posts very interesting and thought provoking. Before being in this relationship and becoming a SM, I never thought much about these issues other than to give Barbie the BOOT Smile

SO and I are having an argument over SD4. I tell him I'm not her mother. SD comes running into the room and says, "you're not my mother?" I thought this truth was self-evident Smile I said "no, I'm not, you have a mother." She asked, "momma?" I said, "yes, momma." SO, in his accent says, "you're a momma too." She looks from one to the other and I tell her I'm her step-mother, a kind of mother when she is with her father. I feel very bad that she heard that.

Anyone Ever Ponder This?

So, I had to go to court the other day (unrelated to BM) and I put my suit on (the one I used before I became a teacher) and I drove off by myself for a change. I remembered my old, unfettered life before psycho BM. When I was calm, friendly, professional and on a sure career track. I went through enough hard times with my mother's death, and the decliining economy. Now it seems daily life is filled with fielding and sidestepping the psychotic behavior(s) of psycho BM, causing me to regress in my behavior also.

WTF? No One Takes Dads Seriously?

So, we found out SO's kids were in school today. BM still not answering phone.

At the police department they said "Oh, we see this all the time, BM's holed up in a motel somewhere." The school said, "they aren't really missing, they were in school on Wednesday and Thurs. and Fri. school was closed."

School tells him to get a visitation order.

I'm just perplexed.

Can't Find BM and SKIDS

So, BM hasn't answered the phone in over a week. We went to BM's house several times over the past two days including at 1 am last night. No lights, no car. She just took $3000.00 from SO. SO doesn't want to call police. Her sister's phone is disconnected. He's going over there today to see if car is there. I told him to take police. (not divorced no court order) Good possibility she took them to New York where relatives are.

Any advice?
