Update: Rotting teeth
So, my SD6.5 went to the pedatric dentist this morning. One of her molars is so completely rotted that there is no saving it - root canal or not - and it has to be extracted and a spacer put in place. Another tooth is in such a state of decay that she has to have a root canal - or extraction with spacer, depending on the cost.
She has 2 other bad cavaties that will have to also be taken care of. This will all happen over the course of 3 appointments. I pray that the sleepy juice/happy gas works, because this kid has literally no pain threshold.

Rotting Teeth
My SD6.5 was over this weekend and told me on Sunday morning that her gums were 'big'. On closer inspection she had a 'blister' the circumference of a dime (maybe the size of a 2 raisins) on her lower gums beside the first molar next to the incisor. It freaked me and FH out!
So, we call BM and tell her about it. BM makes an appointment for this morning and low and behold my SD6.5 needs two root canals and 2 fillings for deep cavities. 4 rotting teeth in total!

Check this out...only if your not in the mood to kill!
So, after I posted some links to another member about iVillage, I spent a little time on there perusing.
It so happens that 2 (count 'em 2) blogs have been posted about Steps and BM's overstepping their boundaries. You should check this shit out! It's unbelievable! And it'll make your blood pressure BOIL!

OT - Anyone out there a Pentecostal or have knowledge of that religion?
I am an agnostic and my FH is an atheist. BM was raised Jewish, but then was saved and became born again.
My SD6 was never raised with religion as BM and FH decided that she could choose once she got older.
Since the separation, BM has expressed her desire to introduce religion to my SD6.
FH agreed that BM could introduce SD to bible stories within the home, but church would be held off for at least a year.
Should a stepparent be involved in a child's therapy?
When dealing with young children, the parents are likely to have private sessions with the therapist as well. Should a stepparent be involved or not?
Any insight, comments or experiences are welcome. I would really like to know how you feel...
Ahem...She wanted $1,200...she got $210
I'm on cloud 9!
So....BM and FH are using the courts to help settle their issues.
Actually...all issues were settled in a Separation Agreement that they worked on together last summer until, that is, FH refused to the amount of spousal support she demanded.
BM took FH to court.
In Canada we have 3 'cushions' before the couple ends up in court. Case Conference, Settlement Conference, Trial Management Conference...then court.

Update about my SD SeniorK Grad...
I just wanted to take a second and thank everyone for his or her insight, support, and encouragement!
The Grad debate was solved…by none other than my adorable SD.
FH called yesterday for his nightly chat, and she instantly launched into how: "When you and Everyone's Interest come to my grad you will have to sit apart from Mommy." No prodding or coaching on anything...just said it.

I need your honest thoughts/opinions
In the interest of full disclosure, a little context:
Both my FH and I left unhappy relationships to be together. We started an affair on the 1st of the month and had separated with our spouses by the 15th of the same month.
There is a lot of back-story, but I needed to provide that context in order to get your honest opinions.
The Situation:
My SD(s2b6) is graduating SK. She loves me and has adjusted very well to the new situation.

A question for all...
Just wondering:
How often do you bathe your kids/skids? And do you use soap on their genitals (specifically girls)?
I know that some girls are sensitive down there, but here's my situation:
My SD5 came over at Christmas with a rash and inflammation. We brought it to BM's attention and yes, she knew about it and would apply sudocreme (diaper rash cream) if SD felt like it (huh – who’s the parent?). Low and behold BM finally takes SD to the Dr.s and she has a staph infection.
