More Baby Steps - another update - schoolgate part 2

I think we are progressing!

So, for those who havent seen my posts about skid and school, I am disengaged from kiddo and her schooling, due to my over extending myself (through invitation until I overstepped) and getting a huge drama-filled backlash.

Last night, in conversation, Husband mentioned that he was called to a parent/teacher conference (no avoiding it now!) because he recieved a phone call from a teacher where SD16 PMP is getting an F (there are two, but who is counting, not me...).

Thats for next week.

Baby steps. Cant think of a better way to describe it. My mother hates that description. So I try not to use it...

Last night, as we were re-watching Game of Thrones to fill in between the Sundays of House of Dragons, SD16 PMP came by to gather somethings on the way to Toxic Trolls new digs. Its supposed to be Husbands week, but they are still doing some moving activities, and she just stays in her room anyways. So, being flexible is good. She came in, hugged her dad and then came over and hugged me smiling. Thats just how it goes.

The latest from SD23 Feral Forger. According to a text from Toxic Troll, shes being tested for various things, ranging from Lupus to Fybromyalgia. I suggested, lightly, that he "might" want to reach out, but he prefers to let the dust settle. He doesnt know where shes living since Toxic Troll moved. SD16 PMP sais one thing, his co-worker who hears things sais another.

At least while living with Toxic Troll we felt safe from her. With no expectations given.

1. Husband who hasnt picked up after his dog yet, and SD16 PMP whose only chore is this, hasnt been around in 2 weeks as they move into the new Mobile-home-share situation, and so Ive been picking up. Im doing some yard work in our backyard, so...

so, Sd16 Pouty Mc Pouterson got called out on her "sour face" as Husband calls it.

Guess what SD PMP said?

"Clove gives me 'the face' so I give her 'the face' back.

Whaaaaaaaa?

Egads. If I wasnt walking on eggshells already, I would be all over that.

And of course in the same conversation there was "shes my child if you love me you love her too" along with the trope "shes just a teenager they are all like this". And "shes going to end up like her sister (hes giving up) just without the meds"...

In making plans for the weekend, I am coming upon the annual local festival that celebrates a dark green/black stone only found in this area - a festival I always love to go to, and Im assaulted by memories.

The last time I went, I cajoled Husband and SDthen12/13?Pouty McPouterson to go with me. Its about a 2 hour drive down. SD PMP wanted to go to a riverside inn I had taken her to during a spring break trip previously. It was on the way, and not really included in the destination.
