Mom, Dad, & Her
I just saw this movie on Lifetime......finally a positive look at a stepmom!!! The movie was amazing, and sad at some points. The ending showed that when a BM and a DH can be grown up's , and put their anger aside, they can really change the fall out of divorce, especially for their kids. Of course this movie deals with a couple who did love eachother once, not like what some of us deal with here, but seeing a stepmom in such a positive way was so refreshing! And seeing her trying to reach out to the SD was so true to life. Try to see it if you can.

Trouble on the Texas home front/ flashbacks (sorry, long)
I worried this may happen, then again, I was not given to much choice in the matter. As most of you know, my Ex H lives in Texas with our 2 kids. We all used to live in Fl. a few years ago, and about a year or so after we divorced, Ex moved away to Texas with my kids, and his then (tramp) girlfriend. I say "tramp" not out of anger, just a fact of who she is. My Ex is no longer with her now, as he can't stand her either. Anyhoo, at the time of the move, things were tense between us.
The All Mighty Buck!
Update on my parents fight over CS &college $$ for my 2 younger brothers.UGGH! My mom took my advice, and before proceeding with the lawyer she found, she went to the court house herself, and got her divorce decree on her own, to see what it said about their current situation.Of course she did not entirely forget, but needs it to proceed in getting the $$ from my dad. Well it does state that he is supposed to pay CS till the age of 23, as long as the boys are in college, and also half of their college education!!!

Welcome to Stepparent Land!
My DH & I have been together now for 41/2 years, but he had his first major "step" moment this christmas, while my kids were here. My DH got a nice christmas bonus from work, $$ to put towards buying a new flat screen t.v. We have been wanting one for a while, and the tv we had was very , very old. So this was a wonderful surprise.

Damn Snow: part 2
Well my kids are still with me, their flight got cancelled yesterday. They did board the plane, but the snow had just started to fall, it looked good for a while there that they could still take off, but as they were de-iceing the plane, the snow just started really coming down hard. So they got my kids off the plane, and we had to go back home. We plan to try again tomorrow, as it should be a better day. The funny part of this, is, my son got his wish. He kept saying the night before, that he wished he had 2 more days, he did not want to go yet.

Safe & Sound
Well, we all made it!! My kids flight was canceled on Friday, so my DH & I, and our little one got a hotel in Boston, and watched the snow fall!! We did have a good time, the place was nice, and I got to destress, knowing my kids were flying in the next morning. They made it, but it took forever for them to de-board the plane, cause all the gates were full, there were alot of cancelations, and delays. So we drove home and the snow started again, and got home after 5pm. We got soooo much snow here on the Cape it is unbelieveable.

damn snow!!!
It has to be Friday, for us to get this storm, while my kids are supposed to fly in at 3:20, in the afternoon into Boston. They leave Texas at 8 am., and have a hour long layover/ connecting flight in Detroit, MI.....and it's gonna snow like hell in both places! I checked their flights today already, and they are still on time, but that is just for now, we'll see tomorrow. I wonder if they will just make them leave a bit earlier, I know, wishful thinking. I just want them to get here safe and sound. but it looks bad to fly for Friday. ;(

If I had a Million Dollars
I never play the lottery, but for fun last week I did. Did not win a thing of course, but day dreaming about it sure was FUN. My DH and I talked about what we would do with the $$ (while making sure BM did not know about it) DH said it could be all mine so BM would not be entitled to any of it, but I would secretly set aside some $$ for the skids to give to them from time to time when they are "adults" In my day dream, I would help my mom (get her out of debt from my bro's college loan) and give her some to put aside so she would not have to work so hard.

update on my health.
Well the good news is, that physically I'm fine, the bad news, is that I'm still a bundle of nerves!!! I start counseling again on Friday, and I'm going to throw myself into ways to de-stress, and change my ways of "dealing" w/ things. Meditation, exercise, diet changes are at the top of the list. I'm thinking of trying SAM-E, hearing good things about it, along with my counseling of course, and I have started a good vitamin plan to help my hair. It actually looks a slight bit better this week, filling in already in the back. My neighbor friend shaped it up a little so it grows in right.

Needed a good laugh today!:)
And I just got one....DH finally reached SS on his cell phone to wish him a happy B-day, and guess what 15 yr. old SS is doing today....going to get his nipples piecred (sp) oops. And BM is taking him! LOL, and my DH is stunned, I don't know why, this is typical of "them". I know that kids are into this, but it just seems extreme to me, and funny right now.
