The subject of guilt

A friend of mine who had been through a divorce once told me that her divorce attorney told her "guilt can be a wonderful thing."  Her stbx husband felt guilty and was giving her whatever she wanted in the divorce settlement.

Seems guilt is a wonderful thing when it comes to some of these BMs (the dysfunctional,  high conflict type, not all BMs).  Seems guilt is also a wonderful thing for entitled step kids.

Who leaves their kids' baby pictures behind??

My SO and I have been together for ages.  His kids are grown and independent (thank goodness).  I found his old photo albums in a large plastic storage bin out in the garage (still packed up from when we moved here over 3 years ago).   I'd seen them before when they were still at his old house (I didn't live there).

Had to bite my tongue...

Well...for the most part.  Lol.  My SO was flipping around the TV stations and had on some reality show.  A young lady...early to mid 20's?... was telling off a man old enough to definitely be her father.  My SO said, "I can't believe these young people today, yelling at a much older adult...DISRESPECTING them like that!!"  

Wow.  What a selective memory he has.
