Well...for the most part. Lol. My SO was flipping around the TV stations and had on some reality show. A young lady...early to mid 20's?... was telling off a man old enough to definitely be her father. My SO said, "I can't believe these young people today, yelling at a much older adult...DISRESPECTING them like that!!"
Wow. What a selective memory he has.
I just sort of mumbled in an off hand way "oh, wow! Gee...I don't know...maybe how their parents raised them? I have no idea...maybe their parents wanted to be their best friend? I don't know." Then changed the subject to why he was watching garbage TV to begin with.

Well you're better than me because I would have use the grand opportunity rolled out for me to say "I imagine that's a Child of Divorce who had one or two parents who never demanded respect, probably rolled over out of fear of rejection and now this one is grown and treating everyone like they treat their parents.
