DH's SD and that GoFundMe biz

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Two weeks ago, DH's SD and her husband started a GoFundMe page.
https://www.steptalk.org/node/231902
It was deleted within 24 hours. I don't know if someone gave SD shite over the idiocy or reported it or what, but it's gone.

Anyhoo, here we are, 2 weeks later. And SD and her husband are going away for the weekend!!! Their 2 kids are NOT going. The oldest is staying with the paternal grandparents and the baby is staying with GrandHo and Mr. Pinhead. Free babysitting for the weekend, y'know?

DH's SD needs to reevaluate her $$ priorities

DH's SD and her husband started a GoFundMe page asking for money medical bills. They owe $3000 and she is asking for.... $5000!! Why? So they can spend money on the kids!!

The youngest is in daycare.
The oldest is in 1st grade.
SD is a SAHM.
SD's husband makes close to 6 digits.
They go out for dinner/drinks 2-3 nights a week.

Am I the only one here who thinks this is a bunch of SHITE??????

Welcome to Adulthood SD20!

SD20 just moved in with her bf, Troglodyte.
The bf my DH (and his coworkers) cannot stand (they worked together for a few months).
The bf who has a lot of the classic abuser traits my first H had, like:
* having a hissy fit when SD goes anywhere (aside from work) without him so now they do EVERYTHING together
* criticizing SD's outfits until she wears what he wants aaaaaand she now asks him what to wear

Sorry skids, but the maid quit

I disengaged last year and I do absolutely NOTHING for the skids. No baking, no cooking, no laundry, no picking up after them (unless it's on the living room floor and then it is picked up and placed in the trash). I haven't been in the skids' room in MONTHS. Last night, I heard an annoying beeping sound and tracked it down: smoke detector in the skids' room needs a new battery. No, I did NOT change it. I informed DH and he will take care of it.

OT - Repetetive Strain Injury

Aniki-Moderator's picture

I have RSI in both of my hands. Doc thought he'd have to cut off my wedding rings but got them off with mineral oil (phew). I have been resting and icing my hands for a week now. All weekend, I did NOTHING strenuous (no typing or writing or even dishes) and rested. Actually had to BUY a cake instead of baking one (gads) for a family dinner last night. Thought things were getting better. Until...

OT quick answer: my Mother was 'stepmom' to MANY

Aniki-Moderator's picture

I had an unusual Mother. She was a rebel when it wasn't COOL for a woman to be a rebel. She secretly climbed trees my grandfather was logging to she could "ride 'em down". She joined the Air Force when women who joined were all considered to be lesbians. The AF is where she met my Dad, they married, she became a housewife and mother, and they had 5 pretty darn awesome kids!
