I have been working my butt off at this new job that I got pretty recently after graduating with my masters in December. Because I have zero experience in management, and because I am 25, I have been the ADON of a behavioral health facility. Well...beginning May 1, guess who is now interim DON until our DON "officially" retires in August. Meaning she will be training me "officially" (to me the ADON position has been unofficial training) from May 1-August 30, and then I take over.

I'm going I write more about the details later but I have to know what you guys think about this- is it too much to expect a 6yr old to say thank you to their "parents" (be it BM and her SO, or DH and myself) when they receive a gift for their birthday? Or even more so, a pluthera of gifts and to never not once say thank you? Is that too much I ask? She has manners bc while our at dinner she thanked the hibachi chef constantly, she said thank you when the hostess told her happy birthday, so yeah. Anyway, am I being unrealistic for expecting a thank you?

This woman has a child that has almost killed his you get brother three times in the past month!! He held an iron on his chest and the pictures we brutal. My first thought was, where I. The HELL was this poor stressed mother while there was a clearly hot and ready iron just waiting to be used by the other child?! I mean...especially if you know this child is extremely dangerous to your other child, why would you not keep the "victim" (for lack of a better word) child by your or within eye sight at all times?!

After reading through a few posts/comment threads from yesterday I know I'm late on this but I'm jumping on the "pissed I bought it if it was fake" bandwagon regarding Lulu. I too cried when I read about the poor dog dying and the pain the poster must've been going through. It made me sad. Now I'm mad I got sad about something not real!!
