I have actually been doing well myself. I have been reading a lot of info on passive aggression, which is what my SD LOVES to do. In my reading I am finding that she probably is not fully aware of most of what she does. Mostly because it is so much a part of her personality now, that she doesn't even recognize the behavior for what it is. Of course I know that I am her primary "target" and that probably has to do with her own mom issues. So, I have just been ignoring all her passive aggressive BS and directing her dad to address the issues with her instead of me.

Wow I really am needing to vent today....

only four months. She graduates in 4 months. Then military! Woohoo! They (dh & sd) know that there is no way she could stay here past graduation (if she makes it that far). So it looks like they are looking at military as her best option. It will give her training and the money she would need for college. Plus it may do her some good. If she can stick it out.

not talking about skids. Talking about in us step parents. One of the posters here was trying to say that it was not "normal" to not feel anything for skids who get hurt etc....well I have news for those of you who feel that way...yes it can be normal. When you have endured the years of crap that some of us have...yes it is entirely possible.

Yeah, she has NO plans on changing. She had half day of school today. Thought she was gonna sit around and watch t.v.!! Had to tell her to get her chores done. Then she goes off and hides in her room. To read. Cuz dad is at work. Reading is fine with us...but again it is one of those things that you should do when all your other stuff is done.

How long?

So most of you who have been following my blog know that my SD17 ran away two weeks ago. She came back after two days.
My question is...how long do you think punishment should last? Should there be any? If so what would you do?

Teens...driving me batty

It isn't just my SD17, my own son is driving me crazy lately. (not to mention the 3 year old but that is totally expected lol).

My son is freakin' out cuz he may get an F in his history class. Thinks his chances of going to college are shot now. It is the end of the world.
