I was so sure of myself... I found her employer. Confirmed her employment. But when I called the attorney to check on the return of service for the subpeona, it hasn't come back yet. It will be 3 weeks tomorrow. 

The para at the law office said... "Hmmmm that's odd". Then I told her that when we were trying to find out if SS got on the plane Monday, I called her work and they said she didn't work there. Which was a lie. 

I asked if they sent the subpeona to the corporate office or her local (It is a chain of med spa's), she said the local and that they are probably covering for her. They are going to send another to the main corporate office with an additional letter that the local office was non-responsive. I hope that works. 

This is so dumb. 

The lawyer informed us that we need to file for contempt but will keep it in the same hearing as the financials- but we need to use it against her. I swear to God, I wish the B would just die. 

If it wasn't her claiming to be owed 32K we would not be fighting anything- we are so done, but at the same time, we aren't going to let her get this money grab without a fight. DH is not her 401K funder or ATM. This is such bullcrap.

I'm so sorry I really hate this for you guys.  When we were going through all the crap with Meth Mouth, DH's lawyer advised him to look into hiring a private investigator to get the proof we needed to nail her a$$ to the wall.  Problem was we don't have that kind of money and we live in a smaller city...the only PI in town at that time had a jeep with his "XYZ Private Investigator" emblazed on the side...everybody knew who he was and he was dumb he would drive that while out “investigating”.

Surely there is a coprorate attorney that will not ignore a subpoena. And raise hell with the local office for not responding.

That karma bus gets bigger every day.

That's not a bad idea. I don't want to start trashing them yet but I sure as hell can if they don't turn records over!

Or reporting them to the IRS for tax fraud if they are not listing her as an official employee.

I am so sorry. 

None of this ever makes sense. It didn't for our case and it doesn't for yours.

Honestly I have no idea how on earth bms' manage to escape accountability. Yet they do. Not only in family court but they manage to do it in civil court too. Ignore court orders to answer interrogatories, ignore orders to appear, ignore paying restitution in criminal cases, ignore paying thousands and thousands AND thousands of of dollars they are ordered to pay.
