Yesterday I was 1) blamed for letting SD forget her saxaphone (WHICH WAS IN DH'S F-ING TRUCK which further enforced the fact that I didn't even know it was AT our house) and then 2) badmouthed because I am "smart" (between me, DH, and BM, I am the only one with a college degree--2 actually).
Last night SD was having issues with her math homework at BM's house. I looked up a website and DH gave that website to BM to use to find help with the math questions (www.math.com if anybody needs homework help!!! It's awesome!). She made snotty comments about how wonderful it was that I could use a computer but how did that help HER daughter with her math homework.
Fastforward to an hour later and they still can't figure it out. BM tells DH to have me log into facebook (didn't say why). I said...F THAT! So SD starts blowing up my cell and I answered and spent 45 minutes literally walking her through the website to find information to help her with the answers. I really tried not to GIVE her the answers but help her come up with it on her own. She eventually grasps the concepts and we hang up. I checked my facebook before I went to bed and BM had written me a private message that said "I wanted to say thank you for helping SD with her math. Guess I need to brush up on my math skills. LOL"
Let me stress that I am NOT her "friend" on FB. Should I respond back? I was thinking a simple "No prob" and that's it. Suggestions????

My response would start
My response would start with…”look here you stupid illiterate cow” and end with “STFU about anything to do with me.”
But really I would put “no prob” and then drink a beer and ignore it all.
I'm with you on the beer!!!
I'm with you on the beer!!!
oooh! I like that too! I
oooh! I like that too! I think that might be my response....in a week (because I "never" check my FB) }:)
LOL That's awesome! The sad
LOL That's awesome! The sad thing is, she wouldn't understand that. That's too poetic and intellectual for her.
LMAO!!! That's great! It's
LMAO!!! That's great! It's how I feel about bm & bio family right now!!!
LMAO!

I wouldn't respond. We
I wouldn't respond. We "stepParents" NEVER gain an inch of respect with bm, etc. By being nice! It's simply the hard truth. If you respond that opens another window to another mode of communication and harassment in my opinion.
She could have pulled her spine out of her as$ and called you! But weak people tend to not do that and take the easy "email / text" message route.
Just my opinion of course.
