any nurses out there? or docs?
we just had a dr. appt for SD and they said;
The dr. said second-hand smoke is irritating the passages of sd's sinus and then causing a build-up of fluid of the inner ear, which is causing the inner ear pain.

I am back!
sorry I haven't been writing/reading for awhile.
BM didn't get her family study paper work - so everything is dropped for now. it still cost my husband about $1200 in attorney fees. it is back to 50/50 placement, but at least SD has been put in her place and her game playing did not work this time!

bio meeting, any bm's out there for advice on this one?
any bm's out there for advice on this one?
sd (13-yrs) is displaying behavioral problems, biting hitting spitting on bf. also, most recently sd acting sick and missing school - very convincing too (only beginning of 3rd quarter and sd has missed 3.5 days). sd forgets to take her medicine (medicine could be making sd ill). talks back to bf and me, always arguing/bickering.
bm is coming over tonight to talk about sd's behavior and medication.
should I be present?
or should this be between bio's only?
I have only been in the picture 2-years.
need help on SD from any BM's
SD played sick from school yesterday. There is a dance tonight and BF told her since she missed school Thursday, no dance on Friday.
Do you agree with his decision?
How do you handle this type of situation?
also, I was going to take her shopping on Sunday for a dress for a formal dance in February. I think I should also revoke this privilege until her next stay with us due to missing school.
BF and I think we should do this to deter SD from playing sick from school in the future. We know she was just playing, she had no fever and didn't want to go to the dr.

family study to find out if BM can have 100% placement/more CS
I have been away from this site for awhile, but thought I should check back in for those who remember my situation.
any bms have advice/input on this one? or steps?
dh and i are dealing with a bm who either wants more money or is manipulated by 13 year-old who is lazy about rules and homework.
they went to mediation today (we currently have 50/50 placement). our 50/50 is one week on/one week off. bm is fighting for 100% (dh has had 100% since sd was 6 years-old to 12 years-old - bm always lost in court).

quit being a victim
too many women play a victim role. and every situation they face they tend to see themselves as a victim. poor me!
We need to be strong, take what we want, take what we deserve - don't let sks, bms, idiot dfs treat us like crap.

paternity test?
sd is 13, i would like a paternity test. how can i get dh to get one? should i manipulate the kid into wanting one? i think it is unfair to everyone for dh to continue with his secret. bm had a threesome when sd was conceived and bm also had several bar-time sexual partners around the time on conception. sd does not look like dh and dh has very low sperm count.
any advice?

advice needed
SD has an opportunity to go to Washington DC on a class trip, she is in the 8th grade.
This, in my opinion, is a very important step in her education and morale.
Neither one of her bio parents have the money, but originally they told the child 1 yr ago each would pay half. Now, she is not going (unless I pull this stunt), This trip has to be paid for in the next couple of days or she misses out.
Should I pay for the trip? It could cause the BM to hate me more for spending so much money on her kid, it could cause the SD to like me more or to "USE" me more!
