Just got back from the ER. SD5 came home from BMs house this weekend with a pretty nasty bruise on her temple. When DH asked her what happened she said BM hit her. SD's full version of the story is they were in the car driving to meet DH and SD says she was being mean to BM and asking for food and BM pulled the car to the side of the road, reached back and slapped her across the face.

So I told DH this morning how frustrated I am about everything and how I feel used and flat out asked him if the only reason he wanted to marry me was so that I would raise his kid so he didn't have to. I asked why it took me breaking my foot off in his ass to get him to do anything and why I care about his kid more than he does and why he continues to let BM shit all over us and dictate the schedule. He appears to have understood where I was coming from but I have yet to see if there will be any long lasting change.

Since When Does the FOC Caseworker Decide Who Takes SD to Appointments?

So I posted last week about how I took SD to the dentist for more work and I sent BM a text saying I had taken her to the dentist for massive dental work 3 times and now it was her turn and told her when the next appointment was.

She never responded but chewed DH out over it tonight saying she didn't appreciate the text I sent her and she called the FOC caseworker over it and the caseworker told her she didn't have to go.

Why is the caseworker deciding the mother does not have to take her child for medical care?

SD Won't Ask for Help. Any Ideas?

So one thing we have been trying to work with SD on is that she refuses to ask for help when she actually needs it. She has no problem at all asking for help with things she is fully capable of doing herself but not for something she actually needs help with.

For example, DH discovered this evening that SD had wet the bed last night when he pulled her pjs out of the hamper. I hadn't noticed this morning because when I walked out of my room to wake her up she was already awake and in the living room so I never went in her room.

So, I took DSD to the dentist for two more caps today and it did not go well. She screamed and writhed through the whole thing.

The dentist felt confident that she wasn't in any pain, she was numb, but that it was an emotional reaction. She didn't react that way at all the first two times she had work done and the dentist felt she was basically saying "I have done this twice now and I'm done."

HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! Told ya so BM

What's that you say BM? You just bought a new car and now suddenly can't afford to take SD for the weekend so you want to switch this weekend for next weekend?

Hmmm....perhaps you shouldn't have bought a new car if you couldn't afford it.

DH told her if she didn't take SD this weekend it's fine but she isn't getting next weekend. She hasn't answered yet so we will see.

However, we are tentatively planning a day trip on Sunday.

Really BM REALLY!?!?!?!

So I went to pick SD up from visiting her mother and as she is climbing out of the car BM says "do you want to take your sprite?" SD says yes so BM hands it to me and I looked at SD and said "how about we switch it out for water?" I looked at BM and said "with all the dental work SD has had the dentist said not to give her any pop." Actually, at 5 years old SD has had 12 cavities filled, 1 abscessed tooth, 2 root canals, 3 silver caps, and has another 3 silver caps scheduled because the dentist said it was the best way to protect her teeth and she needs all the help she can get.

Nice to know where your priorities are BM.

So, BM likes to give us sob stories about how she can't afford to pay all of $124 a month in child support and that she doesn't have money to get SD any birthday or Christmas presents and tries to get us to give her money.

I find it really interesting that she can't scrape together the cash to get her daughter a birthday present but she has the money to buy a new car. Granted, it's a Nissan Cube, it's not like they are all that expensive, but still.

I do not want to hear her bitch about kicking in for SD's skyrocketing medical costs if she can afford a new car.

BM is about to get a nasty surprise in the mail.

So we met with the child psychiatrist Tuesday to go over the results of SD's ADOS testing and it has been determined that she does not meet the qualifications to be diagnosed with autism. However, she does have some sensory integration issues, a speech delay, ADHD, and anxiety and the therapists feel they can help her out a lot with speech, occupational, and physical therapy. I personally feel this is the best news we could have gotten.
