Screw it, Karma will probably bite me in the ass but oh well
Twas the night after New Year's
And throughout BM's house
Not a creature was stirring
Except BM's louse
The boxes were piled
from their most recent move
But BM was out drinking
Not a moment to lose
Her children were sleeping
across town in their beds
While BM got her drink on
Blotto out of her head
SO in his pjs
and I in the same
had just fallen asleep
Because we're totally lame
Karma is a wonderful thing
BM is in jail!!! She is charged with a felony and a bunch of misdemeanors. Yay...we knew she drunk on the phone call last night but I never would have expected this!!!!

New Year's Resolutions
I was outside last night with SO walking the dog when it hit me. This is my life. I am going to marry this man, raise his children and still focus on my career. I am settled, happy and for the most part my life is exactly what I want it to be. Then I started to cry. I couldn't help myself. Tears were streaming down my face as my darling SO was walking MY dog through huge snow drifts because he didn't want me to have to do it. What the hell have I gotten myself into?

The chilly quiet makes me nervous
Even though technically I should be embracing the fact that we aren't hearing anything from the WH clan. The kids are supposed to have a visit Saturday. After BM heard all the gifts they got, I am sure that she will go over the top. Not with her child support mind you. We have received none of that since the court order. Guess she doesn't want SO to lavish his whore with her paltry $300.00 a month which doesn't even pay half the rent.

Had a wonderful Christmas and a little vindication
We spent the weekend with my family. They love the skids so it is very stress free when we go there. There was a little incident where SD9 was running in the house and broke a marble circle table top. No big deal to me or my parents but she was just beside herself and SO was mortified. Other than that the kids were excellent, very grateful and very happy the whole time. They have cousins (my nephews) who are the same age so they have lots of time to play and it's nice for my nephews to have a whole new set of kids to play with (besides each other).

Damnit SO--O/T
I rarely, if ever, complain about SO. For the most part I have hit the jackpot. He's kind, considerate, loving and an amazing father who makes sure he tells me EVERYDAY how much he appreciates me. He takes the burden off me as much as possible, and never complains when I work late or put my career first. But this morning, I may commit homicide.

Ode to my BM
I am feeling even more down now than I was this morning. I am by no means a poet, but here is my one attempt at humor today:

Hypcorisy thy name is FIL
So about a week ago, BIL, whom I work with, laid into me because of some texts SO sent to FMIL. The texts basically told her that he never liked her and that he didn't approve of her choices when it came to warthog. No, that's not basically what they said, that's exactly what they said. And of course, FMIL responded with BM's anthem, "Why do you have to be so meeeeeaaaannnn!!!!" BIL accused me of writing those texts and said that he no longer wanted to speak to me outside of anything having to do with work.

O/T but have those of you with young kids heard of this?
It's called portable north pole. It's an online site and you fill out a questionnaire, upload a photo and Santa sends your kid an email video. We did it for the skids and last night let them watch them. It was the freaking cutest thing ever and I had tears in my eyes at SS4. He was so excited when Santa announced he was on the good list for picking up his toys. SD9 thought it was live streaming so she kept answering his questions, which was too darn cute for words and SD6 said "I knew it!" when he said she would be getting a fun gift for Christmas that she can play dress up with.
Second visit seems to have gone better than the first, or maybe the programming was.
Kids had a good time, so I guess that is all that matters. Even though the lovely in laws sent home three pounds of candy (literally) per child. Yay. Thanks for that.
