One year anniversary of living in step-hell

It was one year this week that Bar Whore dumped SD13 on us.

One full year of living in step-hell has brought about many changes, none of them good.

I can honestly say this has been the WORST year of my entire life. I have never been so chronically unhappy.

Before I entered step-hell DH and I had an awesome marriage. Now we're barely hanging on.

My fibromyalgia has flared nearly nonstop since the advent of step-hell.

Living in step-hell has brought on frequent panic attacks necessitating that I be on anti-anxiety meds for the first time in my life.

That's what you get when you knock up a bar whore...

Bar Whore is really, REALLY on my nerves today...

Last night she picked up SD13. SD is supposed to be at her BM's from 4pm Wednesday until 4pm Thursday. Since she has just started a new school, she is not yet riding the bus because they had to add a new bus stop for her in front of our house. We told BM last night that she had to be picked up this afternoon. BM argued that SHE was going to fix it so that the bus would drop her off. We told her AGAIN it would be Monday before this could happen.

SD13 is moving with us.

I hope I don't regret this and I suspect I will, but I have caved and told my DH I would try AGAIN to deal with SD13. IF her mother will let her go (and it looks like BM is not planning to fight it) SD13 will be moving to my hometown with us in the spring.

Once again I could've got rid of her but I couldn't do it. Sometimes I HATE having a conscience.

But at least I will be on MY home turf. No more going out in this small town and running in to BM and BM's minions. I can escape to my mother's if need be, so I am still looking forward to going home.

Say Yes to the Dress...But NOT with the Stepdaughter!!!

I watched "Say Yes to the Dress" yesterday (because it happened to be playing on tv) and there was a portion of the show where soon-to-be SM, Dad, and stepdaughter all went together to pick out wedding dresses. (I do NOT know whose brilliant idea this was or even where SD's fiance' was...that might've helped.)

SD spent the whole show being pouty and whiny because her dad didn't have the same "OMG You're beautiful" reaction to any dress she picked out that he had to his wife-to-be's EVERY SINGLE CHOICE lol.

SD13 told BM "we" were moving out of state and BM is flipping her shit.

In fact, we got a summons from the court where she has filed for emergency custody because we are trying to leave the state with her sweetiepie.

LMAO Biggrin

What was even funnier was that she included all her wicked stepmother complaints in her letter to the judge (that poor, poor man)...

~Katielee doesn't buy the right kind of menstrual pads (lie...I caved and bought the damn Always with wings in the freakin' yellow package)

DH and I recently decided to move several states away, back to where my family is from. When we first discussed this, he said he would be okay with just seeing SD13 during the summer months. We planned to move in the spring.

Last night he mentions in passing that SD13 was going with us full time when we move so she could go to a new school and get a new start. Obviously he's been talking to her about it and *they* decided she should go.
