I don't think so. I know that as a SM, I wouldn't have wanted my income factored into child support when we were paying it. I imagine her husband feels the same way.

Let's hope not...he didn't make the kids...if she's irresponsible that's what the man should have thought of before making two kids w/her...he hace the kids an irresponsible parent, not the new husband.

It can happen. If a person loses a job or becomes unemployed by choice, they are still responsible to pay for their CS.

In my case, my DH is divorced and BM has physical custody of SS. About 4 years ago DH decided to become a stay-at-home-dad for our children together. However, DH still has an obligation to provide for his son from his 1st marriage. It requires some complicated calculations, but the courts have to figure what his income potential is (how much he could make if he did work) as well as what our household income is to come up with a reasonable CS amount. For us, we came to an agreement with BM to avoid ongoing court drama and because it was the right thing to do for SS.

i read somewhere that if you take it to court they can make her put down someone as a promasie meaning that if she dont pay they have to rather its her hubby her mom dad or joe blow
