Hey there, old timer here! A lot of you might not know me but wanted to give an up date for anyone that might still be around that remembers the stupidity that was my step life. 

SS21 is a high school drop out, hasn't had a job and was living with BM2 until about 6 months ago.  He finally got a job cleaning for some business, working 3rd shift and lives in an apartment with his latest GF who is also a drop out.  BM2 somehow managed to sucker him into paying her 5k for her 2009 beat up Subaru, 4years ago (when SS got a retro check for SSDI) even though she continued to drive it right up until about 6 months ago. Lol. We knew she'd have to figure out a way to get that money and by golly she did.  SS21 finally got his DL and wanted to put car on the road but told DH that it was acting funny, so DH took a look at it.  Mind you we only hear from SS every 6 months or so...i.e. Christmas and Birthday and it's ALWAYS a money grab.  So of course car needed new tires and of course DH paid for them...but SS21 will pay him back!!! Hardee har har. *insert eye roll here*

SD22 will shock some of y'all! She recently graduated from University with a Bacheleors degree.  Got engaged 2 weeks ago, got married a week ago and left for basic training (Army) yesterday. Mind you, her H joined the Army first and she followed along because that's what she's always done with boyfriends.  They have only been together about 6 or 7 months.  She didnt even tell DH she got married, I saw pics on BM1 Facebook.  So DH asked SD and she said yes that they got married so they can be stationed together eventually and she didnt tell anyone or post anything because she thought people would be judgemental since they just got engaged lol.  DUH! She had a major incident that landed her in a jury trail as the accuser (I wont go into detail) but ended in a hung jury.  Given her history of pathological lying, and details of her story, DH and I both believe she was lying but whatever.  Just feel sorry for the person she accused.  I really.hope this military and husband thing work out for her, but again, given her history I'm not holding my breath. 

BM1 got all 4 of her other kids (not DHs) removed by CPS about a year ago, but she has visitation.  MIL said last time she saw her she had zero teeth. Lol that's what Meth will do to you!  Wait til SD new husband gets a load of her and that clan at some point lmao 

BM2 is still (amazingly) married to her boy toy that is 16 years younger than  her.  She has definitely gotten him involved in her cult church nonsense so that's probably how she's controlling him.  Dont hear much of or from her, so that is AWESOME! 

Our BS10 is an amazing kid. So much unlike SS and SD it's not even funny.  He really doesnt have much of a relationship with either skid, which is honestly fine with me and DH doesnt seem to care either. 

I have to say that during all of this COVID crap I have thought about all of you that are knee deep in the trenches of visitation, custody battles, idiotic BMs, pain in the ass skids and molly coddling DHs and you guys are the real MVPs, the true heroes.  I think having skids and BMs to deal with on top of this Covid and shutdown etc would have been the demise of DH and I!  

Obvisouly the skids are never going to go away, but here to say it does eventually get a bit better!!!  Hang in there ladies!
