SD update (good) SS update (dumb)
Good morning everyone! Just wanted to hop on with a quick update. Most of you who know my long sordid, annoying past dealing with all things SD will be shocked to learn that.....she did it!! She finished Army basic training! She graduated yesterday and is off to AIT in Georgia today. They live streamed her graduation, which I happily watched. So surreal to see her standing there! Never in a million years did I think that the girl who was on the fast track to being a high school drop out, would graduate high school, get her BA, and join the Army! I truly am proud of her, as is DH.
SS continues to be a lazy bum. High school drop out, dead end 5 hour a day job (but I guess it's a job), loser, drop out girlfriend, dresses like some white boy gangster wanna a be, sounds like a fool jacked up on marijuana 24/7. He still owes DH 550.00, which he was supposed to be working off, but either doesnt show up or has some lame excuse such as his last one, when he was supposed to help DH stack wood Sunday. (Exact text): "yeah, ok I'm not going to be able to come today, my throat is pretty dry, just not feeling the best" lmao. Not sure how a dry throat precludes you from being able to stack wood, maybe get a drink? DH was not impressed and of course starts spouting off about how "he'll never get another dime from me" LMAO!! I told him whatever. He's said that about 2.6 billion times and does the exact opposite...so just stop saying stupid crap that you dont mean. Of course he swears he means it this time, but we ALL know how that goes.

So curious is SD still married? How is BS doing with all this COVID? Was he able to start back at school or are you all locked down? Good to hear from you, too bad the SS is still a loser.

I guess she is still married? Her husband is at a different base for basic, but is now behind and won't graduate until the end of the month because he tested positive for Covid and had to quarantine. SD still hasn't really told many people about the marriage. She told DH she was embarrassed because they got engaged and then a week later, married. It was so when they finish basic, AIT, etc they can be sent to same base. Not really the right reasons to get married in my opinion, but hope it works out for them.
BS10 is doing great! The school district wherr we live is one of a couple, or maybe even the only one that kids went back full time in person! He is so happy to be back and thriving! He's been playing Little League, travel baseball and fall baseball since July, so that had kept him busy and happy as well. Not looking forward to the cold weather and being cooped up and another potential lockdown that's for sure!!
There's hope
If your SD was able to turn things around, perhaps SS can, too. My own grandson just had a transformation this past year. He is 26, maybe it will just take awhile for SS. Good luck.
