We Did It!

We are married!

Had a week of vacation/wedding events with family and a small ceremony in a sunny location.

Everything went great - families all met and got along and we had about 1.5 days of honeymoon at a very nice hotel.

The Returned

The SDs return today after 3.5 weeks away.
Wow, it was so nice to have the peaceful house, cleaned up, no yelling.

Discussed some things with DP the last couple of days because we are leaving on our trip on Sunday and a whole bunch of stuff needs to happen and should be addressed. And outstanding things still remaining unresolved.

* clean their bathroom or a house cleaner will be called again, by Thursday.

* Their rooms are a disaster but I have successfully held my tongue about it.

Going Well, Just Minor Forehead Slaps

Been pretty nice lately.
Week on / week off essentially for the summer so far, much more regular than crazy school-year schedule.

SD12s room was cleaned out and most of it trashed/donated and DP made her clean up the rest.
I've told both DP and her that my help is 100% over. I don't go in the room any longer to check for rotting food, containers or serveware/plates/bowls.

Give me strength

SD12s room is a nightmare. She's now actively hiding dirty dishes and utensils in drawers and behind furniture. The last time this happened I told DP no more warnings. I will clean it the way I see fit.
I am trash bagging tomorrow morning.

Transit Pass...aftermath

And DP wins again! Well, mostly. Wink

So apparently, SD12 forgot her transit pass for the millionth time.
DP called me last night as I was going home, warning me that SD12 could ask me for help on her way out, and that he refused to help her - because she forgot her pass doesn't mean that someone will bail her out - AGAIN. OK, thanks DP! (SD12 and I cross paths to/from the city several times a week)

Electronics issue

So SD12s two-year old Chrome book bit the dust. Not a big deal, it was used both for school and other stuff (a LOT of other stuff but I'm digressing...) and it survived as well as it could have. And it's at the end of the school year.
