OT - Thankful Thursday

Happy Thursday, STalkers! I don't know about you, but I'm seriously looking forward to the end of the work day tomorrow. This has been a suck week. And that means I need to remind myself of the things for which I'm thankful. Aside from being ever-grateful for a reliable vehicle, a safe & sturdy home, and a good job, I am thankful for:

  • my DH, who was bitten by the smitten bug yesterday and pinched my arse in full view of the neighbors. VERY unusual for my jarhead! LOL
  • Khavi (that's coffee for you non-Finnish folks). I don't leave home without it!
  • my cruel brutish physical therapist. He's actually really awesome, but pushes me hard because he knows I can do more than I think I can. It bloody well hurts, but it's making me stronger!
  • STalk. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to vent in a group who "gets it" (mostly), the friends who let me further vent in PMs, and those who have faith in my thoughts and opinions. I'd be lost without you. xoxo

I'm thankful for

  • Bosses that let me work around a crazy schedule
  • That I have time to work on DH's christmas present this weekend
  • a DH who really loves me and would jump if I needed it
  • Not being treated like something that can break in a second's notice
  • The amazing people on here that I truly appreciate
  • People when I'm feeling frustrated that give me little pep talks and remind me not to feel so down.
  • Food - All things food (except pickles, those are the worst...)
  • That SD9 trusts me to make her birthday cake, and that she truly believes I won't mess it up
  • Caller ID
  • A fur baby that curls up on the bed and cuddles me to keep me warm on the nights DH is working (of course he also groans like a sad cow when he thinks someone else might get attention... Because he's also the most clingy and jealous dog I've ever met....)
  • Punching bags
  • Alarm Clocks
  • Google...

I'm actually feeling pretty grateful today. I'm going to be optomistic.

That's because street tacos are literally food sent from heaven... I'm like 100% sure that's where they were created.

Hola Aniki & Fellow StepTalkers!

  • I'm thankful that I am able to see who my real friends are and those that were never worth my time.
  • I'm thankful for a wonderful manager who is very flexible, understanding, and funny.
  • I'm thankful that this semester is almost over as I've had enough of it.
  • I'm thankful that I'm at the home stretch and almost at the finish line to obtain my degree.
  • I'm also thankful for the posters on StepTalk who give wonderful advise based on their experiences and for the post part are not judgmental when venting.

More than once, I've been thankful for sh!tty friends. Why? Because they have taught what kind of frirend I do NOT want to be.

Thankful for:

My mom and sister who faithfully show up for one day of cookie making because it is a tradition I have to have.

My fur babies who just melt my heart by sleeping under the Christmas tree.  They do not bother the tree nor the ornaments, just love to curl up together under the tree.

Thankful that a work friend is coming to work in my branch office.  She is a young spitfire and will breath life into this quiet office.
