SD has sticky fingers

TheNotSoBonusMom's picture

We cannot get SD (9) to quit stealing. It always starts off with small things like food (Ik that's not that big of a deal, but with SD it becomes a snowball effect). Once she starts stealing more and more food that's when she starts stealing either from classmates or from us. Her stealing has spiked recently and it's starting to become even more alarming. Last week she stole one of my old phones and when she got caught with it, we explained that in order to use a phone it has to have cell service/WiFi and at this rate we'll never tell her the WiFi password if she keeps acting like this..

Stepson stealing clothes from ours.

overworkedstepmother's picture

Hello, I'm 29 and have been a stepmother since I was 20 to a boy and a girl.  My stepson is 14 and over the last year or so has changed dramatically.  It has not been an easy journey and over time I want to dicuss and share stories with others who understand.  The issue I'm going to bring up today is CLOTHING.

Is summer over yet? Part 2..."Surveillance"

ChamomileTea4Me's picture

I didn't write Part 2 yesterday because I decided to leave the chaos surrounding SD16 lie for a minute and try to have a great day.  I scooped up puppy and took him on work errands away from home.  I'm glad I did!

New Here...Teenage Skids Anyone?

ChamomileTea4Me's picture

Does anyone else out there feel like somewhere along your stepparent journey your life got swept up in a monsoon of other people's dysfunction?  I was single for over 10 years and fiercely dedicated to raising my DS and living my best, most emotionally healthy, peaceful, and happy life.  Then I fell in love with BF/SO and we have been living together and sharing our life for 6 years now.  SO has 5 kids...SD22, SD20, SD16, SS15, and SS10...3 BMs.  Yeah, I should've known better, right?  I actually started this out with such hope and was positive that we would all bring great things to each o

Flying a Kite - Check fraud

CLove's picture

Toxic Feral aka Winona, well we knew something was bound to happen, it HAS been a month or so.

So - to backtrack for the new folks:

I have 2 skids - one I used to call Winona because she was caught at the age of 17-almost-18 stealing makeup sponges from JC Pennys. It was the SECOND TIME she was caught on camera. Luckily she was NOT yet 18, and luckily she had money in her purse. This resulted in a fine of $250, however, which DH paid, because he needed her to take his turns doing mom care. NO real repercussions...
