BM has rules!
Last night SD7 announced to DH and me that she doesn't want to go back to BM for the rest of the week (2/2/5/5 schedule and BM's 5 begins tomorrow). DH told her too bad she had to and asked why she didn't want to go. SD said it's because BM has too many rules in her house. So we asked her what rules her mother has that are so bad. She proceeds to list things like they have to clean up after themselves, they're not allowed to eat in their bedrooms and they get yelled at for jumping on the couch. There were a few more that I don't remember, but nothing unusual or different from what's expected at our house. DH and I are just looking at each other as if this kid is nuts, because these are the exact same rules we have at our house. So I point out to SD that she has to clean up after herself here, she's not allowed to eat in her bedroom and she's not allowed to jump on the couch or beds at our house either. She thinks about it and then says, OK, I'll go. So DH and I are left shaking our heads wondering where the heck that came from. SD is very smart and can be manipulative, so I'm wondering if she's saying things like that to try to get the rules relaxed in both houses by playing them against each other. I didn't say anything to DH, but my antenna is up. Am I overly suspicious?
Yup that about it try to play
Yup that about it try to play everyone against each other to get what she wants. Same as my sd when she used to go to bm house on the weekend bm be like you cant do this. Sd be like but dad let's me do this that. She even do it with me I be like you cant do that she be like but dad said i could. Then she do the same to dh oh but SM or BM said I could. When everyone said we dont care what the other person said we doing whatever this way she kick up a stink. Didnt matter still doesnt matter what rule in place. No one allowed to win.
