Tonight's "dilemma"
OK, ladies and gents, get a load of this one..
My daughter has SATs tomorrow morning; she's in her room chilling and, of course, texting her friends. Minding her own business..
Well, H's daughter (29) was supposed to come pick up her computer that "daddy" fixed around 7:00. History has dictated that when this "girl" says 7:00, she usually shows up hours later, wasted and carrying on...
SO, I set a boundary. I told H, if she is NOT coming by 7:00, you will call her and tell her that she will pick up the computer TOMORROW...
So, guess who is the bad guy? Duh, ME? How DARE I suggest that his darling "little girl" not show up on time? Why am I foreseeing problems....
And, the SAD part is that we had planned a nice romantic night.
My daughter would have been in her room, not bothering us. HIS DAUGHTER might have shown up at ANY TIME, and who would have been sprinting down the stairs, but...DADDY??? Of course. And, of course he would have had her in for YET another beer and a nice conversation. We could have been in the middle of "doing it", but if HIS DAUGHTER showed up, well, you get the story...
So guess who gets the "blame" for ruining the night...MY DAUGHTER because she is HOME and not "OUT" (on an SAT night)..
Total lunacy, need to vent, but, like JMC, I'm wondering if it's time to say ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

Hey KK. I really didn't realize how much your H is like mine is
"To Thine Own Self Be True" William Shakesphere
with SD18. Sickening. Totally. Sorry-I can't even read things like you just wrote without feeling a little ill-because it's been the story of my entire last year.
KK!
OMG! I just wanted to barf reading your post. I had a big blow up with my FH last night and I don't even know what the hell happened! I know how you feel - all I did was ask a question then all of a sudden I was the DEVIL! I would have left the brats computer on the front porch! You know SD29 would have showed up exactly when you thought she would have a RUINED your evening! And your daughter, who is a good girl, and completely innocent in all this gets blamed. That is just a new low. Hang in there chica!

Did I read that right? "And, of course he would have had her in for YET another beer and a nice conversation." Does SD take a cab to your house? What kind of parent/person gives anyone alcohol and sends them back out on the street.
I hope not to offend anyone, but that whole statement rubs me the wrong way.

The sad thing is...
This "girl" was arrested just over a year ago for DUI AND leaving the scene of an accident.
Update...she DIDN'T show up, but H and I had a huge blow up over this. This "girl" has no life, no boyfriend (just totally classless), so when she needs something, "daddy" is her only male friend.
Again, I'm wondering if it's all worth it anymore.

Oh NO WAY!
"We could have been in the middle of "doing it", but if HIS DAUGHTER showed up, well, you get the story..."
I don't even have to ask my DH's opinion of this one. He would say your DH is kicked out of the "Man's Club."
Nothing- not an emergency phone call from work, not BD 3 knocking on our door, not even likely a crash somewhere in the house if it wasn't followed by a blood curdling scream (and even then there might just be a pause to ascertain if it's a "real" blood curdling scream or just one of the kids trying to get us involved in their mistreatment by a sibling...
I'm not even sure if we smelled smoke and knew all the kids were safely outside or at a friend's house....
NO WAY would DH stop "doing it" with me.
As DH always says, "Men are simple creatures." And sex is not interrupted for anything short of nuclear proportions (even then- why stop "doing it" if you couldn't save the world anyway?)
That is just NOT RIGHT!

Thanks for the giggle! My DH is the same way. I thought all men were.
