Two questions...
I have two questions for anyone (both Step and Bio) that would like to answer...
1. How many of you are Stay At Home Moms and/or Work From Home Moms?
2. Any of you ever been a Mystery Shopper? Pros/Cons? Any Reliable information? I've always been skeptical about this, but I did over hear a converation once about someone doing this and she was very excited about it, lol... she apparently loved to shop. I am just curious and thought if anyone has actually tried this?
I'm trying to come up with some creative ways to bring in alittle extra $$$ into this household. Currently, I'm starting my own business... I build websites. And secondly, I like doing crafty beadwork items, and such other things. SS loves to sit with me and help/watch me do things. I sell the items at some boutique venues. It's not much, but it helps with gas, or those little project items SS needs for school, movie money, etc.
Anyway, I'm trying to find creative, at home- even if it's small change- opportunities- that are reliable. Every little penny counts right now. Any suggestions?
mystery shopper
I was a stay-at-home when my kids were younger. I'm not so creative but I did make extra money by babysitting, cash no receipts.
One of my friends whom I've mentioned on this site...his X is a mystery shopper. She also loves it..also loves to shop..lol I don't know a whole lot about it..other than she sometimes travels out of town..to 'mystery shop' stores throughout the Province. Maybe 3-5 days a month she's out of town....
She makes money on her travel expense allowance..besides her wages.... if thats any help to you.
I see a new trend coming...
I work full time..my dh and I own a small business too. One thing that we do is eat very healthy. To eat healthy takes time for food preparation. One idea that popped into my head and I think is an upcomming trend, is to shop for those full time workers.
My dh and I spend 2 hours every week just grocery shopping. Then I come home, and I wash all my produce in soap and water, dry, then store them. I eat a lot of salad, so I wash the salad leaves individually, let them dry, then chop salad for the entire week...then it's onto laundry...this consumes my entire Sunday.
Just an idea...
Great small business idea for SAHM
About Candice's comment - YES, I think this is indeed a new trend. My hubby and I were just talking about this.
What would be way cool is a business that surveys its customers to figure out what sorts of foods they like and want to eat. Then you put together recipes for this family and do all their grocery shopping.
I think this would be a great small business venture.
I own a small graphic design firm and work from home. It works GREAT for me!
