I am also one of those heathens that like pineapple on my pizza.

Ham, pineapple and jalepeno to be exact.

I also like fresh tomato and spinach. Thin crust preferred and with tomato sauce.. not a fan of the white version.

I didn't think of jalapenos!!! OOOOH Friday.

Thin- sausage, green pepper, onion, black olives

Or just cheese

Or pepperoni and green olives

I also like the pizzas with spinach and tomato and some fancy cheese

I love pizza cold just as much as I love it hot.

I love salad and pizza together.

My SO could totally share pizza with you.

OOOOH and Bianca pizza with arugula and prosciutto!!

Sicilian pizza I CANT MAKE UP MY MIND.

OMG, I'm *craving* pizza!

My preference is thin crust, but I can be flexible. I love cheesy pizza. Or veggies (no olives or tomatoes, though!). I even love just pineapple pizza.

I strongly prefer no meat, though, which is always a problem because DH and DD are MAJOR carnivores.

THIN CRUST - NY style, with pepperoni. it's gotta hang over the edges of a paper plate, and be easily folded in half and eaten sideways. and not too much cheese (yes, i *did* actually say that!).

although, when the mood strikes, i also like a good slice of sicilian. *sigh* i miss real pizza/pizzerias....

YUP! shock of all shocks, eh? i'm not a fan of too much mozzarella in any one bite - it gets rubbery-feeling (remember, i have texture issues when it comes to food...)

when i'm REALLY craving the cheesiest of all pizzas, i go for a straight-up NY-style white pizza (nothing but crust, some mozz, a sprinkle of parm and garlic, and TONS of BIG ol' globs of ricotta), preferably also with chunks of grilled chicken. YUM.

here, doll - a clove roasted garlic spread onto a crostini, topped with a thick schmear of goat cheese and a thin schmear of pesto is one of my all-time favorite finger-foods. it could be just as fabulous on a grilled pizza crust.... *drools*

Aniki-Moderator's picture

I eat pizza with shrooms, roasted garlic cloves, and goat cheese. Maybe some little dabs of pesto here and there.

PIZZA RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

add sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts. maybe some grilled chicken.

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm............

Ohhhhhh, I'm trying to lose weight and I want pizza!!!!

Depends on my mood. I'm typically into thin crust, big triangular slices, folded like we do here in NY, but occasionally I crave deep dish. I'm typically a plain cheese kind of gal, but peppers and onions, occasionally pepperoni, are good too.

And yes, I'm one of those who likes ham and pineapple (lite on the pineapple, heavy on the ham).

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Ghost, what about a cauliflower crust or one of those pre-made, low-fat/carb/gluten.... crusts? Veggies and some Canadian bacon wouldn't be too bad!

Aniki-Moderator's picture

If you have excellent toppings, the crust can be...mediocre.

Then again, I'm a foodie so..... I'm no help!

I've made garlic bread pizza out of shredded zucchini! I have yet to perfect the wringing out of all the water but it gets the fix fixed.

I actually lost a LOT of weight and ate pizza almost every day.

I used a prepackaged pizza crust mix Weisenbergers was the brand. Not gluten free or what not.. but it was pretty easy to use. (just add water and a little oil to mix)

I would split the dough up and make my own sauce from crushed tomato, tomato paste, garlic and onion pulsed in a mini processor. Used mozzarella cheese shredded and only 1/4 cup per pizza and then the topings were scant meat (ham usually) and vegetables like spinach, mushroom onion etc..

I made mini pizzas and the total was about 5 or 6 small pizzas per batch (coincidentally enough to eat one about every day!) The total calorie was about 200 to 250 calories (depending on my meat selection and whether I got generous with my cheese.) per pie

One little trick to keep them from getting soggy is i would blank bake the pizza without sauce or toppings.. to get the crust a bit done before I added sauce, cheese and toppings.

Ohhhh was so good. I think I need to go make me some tonight!

Anyone ever have pizza with penne alfredo on top? Holy crap, it's a dieter's nighmare and a carb lover's dream!! Blum 3

Tuff Noogies's picture

Peanut butter and pepperoni, I'm telling you guys just don't know what you are missing out on Smile

Oh, my favorite pizza place ever has this amazing wood-fired dough (they import their flour from Italy). The crust I'm extremely picky about - it better be amazing.
Anyway, I just was there on Friday night, thin crust with the perfect amount of delicious tomoato-ey sauce with a not-too-thick layer of cheese, pepperoni, garlic and tomato. YUM.
There's also a spicy one that DH loves; he'll even add hot oil to it.

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Cover, is that chopped garlic, whole roasted garlic cloves or ...?

lieutenant_dad's picture

Aniki, I'm trying so hard to cut down on my carbs again, and you post this?! *cries*

There is a local chain here that has thin crust with finely chopped pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom. So. Deliciously. Tasty.

I'm also a fan of cheap frozen pizza (think Totino's Party Pizzas that are in no way, shape, or form healthy) or Red Barron pizza (traditional and French bread kinds only).

I like Papa John's crust because I can peel off the soft, sauce-soaked bread from the cardboard-tasting bottom.

Chicago-style deep dish with all the cheese? Omnomnom...

Aniki-Moderator's picture

Sorry, lieutenant_dad!! Make a cauliflower crust! Friends of mine are also cutting carbs. They made the cauliflower crust in their wood-fired pizza oven and it looked delish!!

Chicago style. Deep dish with lots of cheese UNDER the sauce. Spicy Italian sausage, onion, mushrooms, extra garlic and basil.
