OT - Thankful Thursday

I am extremely thankful that my Dad is okay post-hurricane. His area was hit hard. But the house is livable with only minor damage. No power, but he has food to eat. This Daddy's Girl is so relieved! Feel like a boneless pile of goo now that the tension is gone from my muscles.

 

To everyone who sent prayers and good vibes, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

So pleased he's OK!  I read an account on the BBC website of a couple living in Tampa who chose to not evacuate - it sounded bad (they lost power) but not as bad as some were predicting.

Thanks, everyone! I finally got to talk with him today. His cell wasn't working and there was no electricity to recharge. The community center in his neighborhood set up generators so people could come in and charge devices (laptops, phones, life alerts...). His sister-in-law's phone works and she let her nephews know he was okay and they contacted us (the step-siblings). 

But hearing his voice... after we got off the phone I cried and cried. So relieved he is okay. 

Thanks again for all of the prayers and good vibes and the private messages of support. I cannot express how much it means that my STalk family was here for me.

I hope any whose loved ones were affected are safe and healthy.
