Another blog reminded me of an issue that popped up that I had forgotten about. The "mom" issue.

I don't really feel like ss's mom or even step-mom. Yes, I know that I am, legally, his step-mom. But these recent visits bring the total number of interactions I have had with SS to a whopping 5!

This past weekend, SS decided I was Momma Doll Faced. I didn't say anything to him, myself, but I did pull DH to the side and explain my anxiety over this to him. Aside from my own feelings of unease over this, there is the fact that the Plague, if she got wind of SS calling another woman called "mom" by her son, will happily cease all visitation between DH and SS. DH doesn't get it; tells me it's fine.

*blink blink*

Yep, we're living in happy unicorn land over here.
